Big Screen TV's

Looking for advice. Thinking of buying one for DH as a wedding/christmas gift. Everytime he sees my mom's 43' he is in awe.....

What should I look for? Modael? Price? Components? Features? Anything?

I have absolutely no base knowledge on this subject except for the few doc's I read on the internet....please help!

I bought my fi a big screen tv as an engagement present. I bought him a 53 in widescreen panasonic. It is High Definition TV, split screen, picture w/ picture. He loves it especally the split scren bc he can watch two sporting events at once. Its awesome. I bought it from Circuit City.

I bought my FI a 51' Sony wide screen which is also high-def with split screen. He loves it too. There are so many different models and price ranges out there, it was a difficult decision for me to make so I had him give me a few models he liked. I would have never gotten him the one I got him and it's such a big purchase

Men are sooo into this, perhaps you can find a way to find out which one he likes, reg vs wide screen, etc....
