Have you ever gotten into it over wedding planning? Right now we are discussing not getting married in the Catholic church. Neither of us is particularily Catholic. I mean we don't go to mass. I have always dreamed of getting married in the church but things change. My mom will be paying for the bulk of the wedding --she doesn't seem too disappointed in the fact that we dont plan on gettng married in church. i think once she starts shelling out money that might change (doen't it always?)! My bf is really oppossed to this. Have you gone through something similar?
What else have you had issues over w/ your fh, stemming from wedding planning?

Re: Biggest disagreement during wedding planning...
Thats funny, our guest list was the easy one for us to do, the place and vendors we agreed on 100% but as for the extras, he didnt think we needed them, but I wanted them so I am paying some of them myself

Re: Biggest disagreement during wedding planning...
We've argued over minor things here and there, but nothing major. The major things like locale and over theme we agreed upon long before we got engaged. Its all about learning to compromise which is part of what marriage is about.

Our biggest disagreement has been over the registry. He cooks and I don't and I think some of the things that he wants are crazy.

Re: Biggest disagreement during wedding planning...
lately we have been fighting nonstop about the wedding. till finally my grandma yelled at him, that the whole day will mean nothing if the bride is unhappy. I mean first off I am agnostic. I will not get married in a church because I don't believe, meanwhile he was raised catholic. so we had a big fight about not getting married in a church. though from the day we met I made it clear how I am, and what I believe. so he knew what he was getting into. it's not like he is very religous either, he doesn't go to church. also my mom is not religious either, and she actually got married where we will be, at Jericho terrace (though it was jericho manor back than) so I have her on my side also.
than we had a huge fight because I want a female officiant, I think a man will remind me to much of a priest. I think a female doing it will be more romantic, at least that's how I feel.
now the dj is coming up. I love Maroon5, Good Charlotte, Fergie, Christina, the killers etc. he loves Kiss, and mostly heavy metal. so nonstop we have been arguing about music. I mean isn't it better at a wedding to not play heavy metal? it's not danceable. we actually had a huge arguement lastnight because I wanted us to come into the killers mr. brightside. than we'd dance to our song, than I want the bridal party to dance to nickelback (another band he seems to hate)
it's gotten to the point where I think he just wants to go against everything I pick. I fell in love with Sherwood Triart photography, he of course had to dislike them. in the end it's my family paying so they will only go with what I want. they don't want to be 50g and have me be upset on my wedding day. plus they hate heavy metal as much as I do.
than of course we fought about the guest list he was unhappy with the fact my family only wants him to invite 50 people, maybe 60. they told him if he wants 100 he can pay the $$$ at $122 a person it's quite a lot. I envy the girls whose fiances just go along with whatever they want or say.
