I was on Yasmin and gained weight....like 6 pounds in 1 month....that was enough for me to come off of it...I am on Estrostep right now.....I don't see why your GYN can't do the same with ES its a monophasic pill (same pill thoughout your cycle)
I switched my pills about 4 months ago and had no problems.
i want to just skp my period for a month because i will most likely get it on my wedding day. thinking about yasmin any new info good or bad? i currently take anxiety meds do you think it will interfere at all? i have never been on birth control before.

I was on bc for probably 13 years. have tried various different brands that were OK for a while. Initially i never made the connection. I was on Yasmin for 2+ months and it make me CRAZY. The mood swings were awful. I was super sensitive. I felt like every emotion was exaggerated. I stopped the pill cold turkey one year ago and have never felt better. I know the pill works great for alot of people but just wanted to share my experience. I wish i had realized years ago that the pill was affecting my moods so much. I will never take it again. Many of my friends have had similar experiences. Just be in tune with yourself and be aware.
I had a similar experience with Yasmin. I was on it for 4-6 months and then gave up. I'm very hormone sensitive though.
I have been on Yasmin for a couple years. It was the best one for me. Just a word of advice though, some people are saying you can do it with any pill (skip the placebo pills) but you can only do it with pills that have the same dosage every month. Something like orthotricyclin you can't do it with b/c each week is a different dosage of pills.
I have switched several times because of changes in my horomone levels since I started. yasmin is supposed to be great but I have never been on it.
