I used to be really interested in birth order, mainly because I felt that my brothers and I showed a lot of the qualities of people in our respective birth orders. Something else that also interested me was the fact that we tend to marry people in opposing orders because they tend to complement each other more. And when I thought about it, I realized that many family and friends married someone from a different order.
So...where do you and your SO fall in terms of birth order? Do you think that there is anything to that idea?

Our roles are kind of interchangeable though. With him, i can act like a kid, and he feels like he gets the respect of an adult.
Also, we both have pretty drastic ages differences b/w our sybblings.
Im 9 & 10 yrs older than my sister and brother. His sybllings are 6,8,10, and 12 Year older than Him. so his oldest syblling is actually closest to my Mom's age than mine. but we're all the same when we have a few beers in us

BUT HERE IS AN INTERESTING THING:
DO you count ALL the siblings? My DH's father was remarried and now has a half brother and sister?
Me...oldest DH a middle child
I had one a lot of reading on this topic when I was studying counseling. I think it mostly depends on who was in the household where you were raised. If all the kids lived together, then you would consider the order of all of them, however, if there is a large gap in ages (I think 7 years is the number they usually consider) then it is as if they are 2 separate families in terms of birth order characteristics.
In answer to the question, I am a middle and DH is the youngest. He is more fun loving and I am the more independent of us.

Me and FH are both the oldest sibling
My mom was the oldest too - but my dad has like 10 sis and bros so he was somewhere in the middle of all that.

Me-Youngest I have an older brother he 32 im 24. I was always in his way. So like Jax430 I was like an only child. When I was like 15 he moved to colorado and then florida.
DH- Youngest of 3. He's kinda the same as me. His brother is 36 Sister 35 and Mike is 25. By the time I met mike when he was 15 his sister was married with three kids. She had 3 year old twin girls and another daughter who was 6 months (she know has a son who is 3 my godson ) But Mikes brother still lived hom until last year when grandpa bought him a house in Flordia His brother who is the first grandchild can do no wrong
OH and my parents
Mom is the oldest she has a younger sister till her aunt and unlce die and my grand parents adopt her cousin who is older then her
and my Dad is one OF 12.
