Birthday Help!
Hi girls. My friend/co-worker is 8 1/2 months pregnant. Well last week during the blackout, I was with her. We walked from NYC, over the 59th st. bridge and all the way down Queens Blvd. We did get a ride at one point. However, she barely made it. On Saturday it was her birthday. She ended up having contractions and had to go to the hospital. They stopped her contractions and she went home. Well I found out yesterday that her birthday just passed and I was going to run out and get her a little something and a card. (we are not that close, really just friends from working together). But, I never got to go yesterday. Well this morning she comes in with a box of chocolates for me and my DH to thank us for helping her get home during the blackout. My DH came to New Hyde Park to pick us up and brought her home.
So now I really want to get her something for her birthday. I am in Midtown. What should I get her? I don't want to do chocolates, obviously. Any suggestions? I want to run out during lunch. Thanks,
