is this the age anyone started to get depressed? I just feeling drinking myself into a corner and crying but I don't know if I really even have a reason why.

i lost it the week i turned 25. i felt so old... the day after i turned 25 everything went back to normal. i don't feel old at all.
but i totally understand the fear and the depression that comes along with that birthday.

I turned 27 this year and I realized that 30 is so close and it's such a surreal thing to me. I feel like I JUST got out of HS a few years ago, but at the same time it feels like a past life. Sometimes I feel like I'm getting old finally (I use the term OLD very loosely....for the ladies older than I am, PLEASE do not take offense to that.....it's just that being the older sister who is almost 30 seems to akward!), but other times I feel like I'm a kid...weird.

k...i am 28 and turning 29 exactly a month before the wedding...I am kinda flippin out...but at the same time...I dont look older and i dont act older...(for the most part I dont...but I know when to act my age...LOL)
But getting older to me is scaryyyyyyyyy....I dont want to have WRINKLESSSSSSSSSS

25 isn't that bad, but when i did turn 25 it was like wow i am now in my mid 20's, no longer early 20's...enjoy it for a bit though bc in 2 months i will turn 28 and that just feels so much closer to 30

yea for some reason 25 was a hard birthday for me too- I think its just because you are done with college and working & like a real adult- but every year since then has been amazing- I just turned 30 & I am loving it....
I have heard it called a quarter life crisis and I think there is even a book on it.

so RIGHT when i hit post bulletin...FH walked out with a birthday cake with my roomates. *AWWWW* I just didn't feel like this bday was 'special' I didn't feel the christmas cheer this year either (at least not until christmas night when FH and I layed in a sleeping bag by the fireplace). I don't know whats wrong with me.
It's not even necessarily about getting old because I've always been one to say I'd grow old with grace. I already found my first grey hair and even that I was like 'oh crap...cool!' but something just doesn't feel right.
First off.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!
I felt the same way this year. I too turned 25 and i just felt like blah! Same with christmas, until it was actually christmas day... but even then something was off.... i dunno what it is, but i think it is perfectly normal to feel this way.... it feels better knowing other people out there feel like this

I am 33, 8 years older than 25. It is a little scary to see time slipping away, but I definitely feel much wiser and more grounded than I did when i was 20, 25, even 28.
25 is still very young. You have many years ahead of you. But time does not stand still. You are young so enjoy it!
And, at least for me, life gets better each year b/c I learn more and more. Getting older is a fact of life. The sooner we accept it, the happier we will be.

I wouldnt say I got depressed but the realization that my youth is passing by was a whack in the face. I'm doing better this year, I will be 27 in 2 weeks and I'm a little excited.

25 is the age where you are right inbetween Turning 26 is where you are closer to 30 than 20
I will be turning 28 in July, less than 2 months after the wedding. It ***** getting older, but i go on LIF alot and read alot of posts of girls who turned 30 and they said it was the best birthday yet!
