where do you live? Brooklyn is so big. also, do you want a restaurant or a room?

Can you narrow it down a little more:
1) What area? 2) What kind of food? 3) How many people approximately? 4) What's your budget?

1. Looking for something in the BayRidge/Bensonhurst or even Staten Island...
2. Good Food both families think food is the most important thing.... Me personally the room is the most important thing but whatever...
3. 80 people
4. Budget is tight no more then $35 a head. Like it to be less.....
We got one quote from bayridge manor going to check them out this weekend, but wanted to see other places.

Re: BKLYN Brides where to have a shower?
I've been to a shower at the Bay Ridge Manor, and it's approximately $40 per person.
I can also suggest Gennaro's on 13th Avenue and 68th Street - it's beautiful. Look them up on the web (gennaroscatering.com) - i think
A family friend owns Hunter's Steak House on 4th Avenue and 95th Street - FANTASTIC food!
A friend also owns Samba, on 3rd Avenue and 97th Street - next door to Goodfella's. and it's a club at night, serving Cuban food during the day, and has private parties.
Le tme knwo if you need any info!

Gino's restaurant is extending and going to be able to hold parties. Their food is excellent (Italian) and the place is really nice.
Gino's Restaurant 7414 5th Ave It's actually right down the block from the Bay Ridge Manor so you could check out both when you go!
There's also Chadwick's which is a little pricer - not sure how much though. Greenhouse cafe is nice too and not that expensive, I think it's less than $30.

I second the Greenhouse Cafe. I often eat there and the food is pretty good. Also they offer a pretty decent party menu and you can usually have the private 'Greenhouse' room.
Another place to check out is La Sorrentina in Bensonhurst. I went to an engagement party there and the food was really good.

My FSIL had her shower at Sirico's, it was nice, but if you are really about the food, I'm not so sure it's for you. Don't get me wrong, the food was good, just nothing to write home about....

Re: BKLYN Brides where to have a shower?
We had my mom's 50th birthday last weekend at Bay Ridge Manor. The food was really good. I was surprised by how good it was! They had excellent service and were very accomodating. I don't think you'll be disappointed at all. The room isn't gorgeous but it's nice.

Re: BKLYN Brides where to have a shower?
Henry Grattan's on 88th st and 3rd Ave is a great place. We had my sister's shower there and a friend's also. I also had my rehearsal dinner there. The food is excellent.
Greenhouse on 77th and 3rd avenue is also very nice. I have been to a few showers there too.
My own shower was held at Chadwick's on 89th and 3rd Ave. It was really nice. The food was excellent but I know its a bit pricey.
Good luck!

Re: BKLYN Brides where to have a shower?
My aunt's baby shower was there and they were able to close off the back room which is encased in glass. It's their 'Greenhouse room' Not sure how many people they can accomodate there though ....
