I'm struggling with this, I love the idea of black bridesmaid dresses, maybe with a fuschia (spelling?) wrap around the waist? Has anyone done black? My fiance is worried they will blend in too much with the tux's. My other option is fuschia dresses, but I'm thinking they'll blend too much with the flowers (fuschia, orange, pinks, red). Just looking for some ideas, any pics would be great, thanks in advance!

I'm doing black dresses and my girls are very happy. Black makes most people look and feel good. It will look great with a fuschia sash!!!

i'm doing black dresses with red sashes and my MOH will be in red with black sash. our guys will be in black tuxs with black shirts and black vests but a red tie....even with all that black, the red is enough contrast

My friend had her BMs wear black dresses of their own choice and then had each with an identical pashmina and it was a GORGEOUS effect!
I'm going to see if I can find some photos online of examples...

i was just at a wedding recently where the bridesmaids wore black. my only issue with it was that it was too dark - they didn't have any color either in the shoes or a sash to brighten it up, and the flowers were dark too. the bridesmaids blended in with everyone else throughout the night.
i think black looks much better with flashes of a brighter color against it for weddings. the pics others posted with the fuschia sash, shoes, and flowers really show how it can be more fun and funky for such a happy occasion.

I think Black is very classy and they could most likely use the dresses again or cut them tailored to use again. My only problem with black is that a lot of guests at a wedding will be in it and I would want the girls to stand out a little bit. I think if you do it with fuschia sash that will def make them stand out a bit more.
Instead of black, i went with a dark platinum. Also a dark yet neutral color that could be used with many different flowers
