Black Forest/ Chateau La Mer Rumor and What's Really Going On UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Debi just spoke to Ann from Black Forest Bakery!!They still do wedding cakes, but,,,, CLM has chosen to change to a different cake vendor that is less expensive. Debi is planning to now call CLM, to see if they will still honor Black Forest or if she has to switch to the new vendor. It would be nice if CLM would notify the Brides of these changes, since we found out by reading the post from yesterday, on LIW. Mary MOB

i'm not a CLM bride but it's interesting to see that CLM wants a less expensive vendor.. more interesting to see if they are going to pass those savings onto their brides..

Wow, they should definitely tell the brides. What if they don't like they way the other baker makes their cakes? Not everyone likes certain cakes and I'm one of them!

and its impossible to call that girl that answers the phone is dumb as rocks..

I went to bring a payment down a couple of months ago and she was like u want to book a wedding im like no i want to put down a payment..and she says for what? and im like our wedding...and she says..its here?..im like no its next door but i want to pay you..

Oh, my!!! Well, we don't know if CLM plans to honor previous Black Forest orders, or will tell Debi she has to go to the new vendor. She and Fred just made an appt. with Black Forest, for March. Mary MOB

hmmmm.....i alked to Lou when i saw the other post and he told me it was BF that isnt supplying the cakes anymore.....i knew i should have waited and talked to Nick...wonder if i would have gotten another story........ah well i am sure if they are uysing them, they are good. But i will be setting up a tasting to be sure. Let us know if there is an update!

i asked about their rumors at black forest when i went, and they said they were up in the air about continuing wedding cakes, but were honoring contracts with halls already made....
