Black Tie?
FH and I would like a more formal wedding, so we wanted to put black tie preferred on our invitation.Our cocktail hour starts at 5:30 and unfortunately can't be moved any later. Do you think that is too early for black tie?

I don't think that's too late. It's an evening affair :) mine is black tie preferred as well.

I think that's fine but I would definitely put that on the invite or something because people may be fooled by the early time!
