aw Rita. that *****, but it's better now than a few weeks before the wedding. maybe if you tried talking to her? maybe offer to pay for something if possible? I really wanted my cousin to be in my bridal party and she was concerned about how much hair/make up would cost. I told her that I would pay for her hair and i got my mom to pay for her make up as christmas presents for the year that i get married.

I'm sorry. I cant say I understand...since she has two years to save. Some people are just inconsiderate. If her heart isnt into it...just let it go. You dont need anyone brnging your day down

I'm sorry, that really stinks. Things are tough financially for a lot of people right now and maybe they are scared at what the future holds. At least she told you now and was up front about it.

Rita, I am so sorry!! I know you are sad now but in the long run this is better that it happened now and not a few months before your wedding

Re: BM Bummer
So sorry!!!
Maybe it's not money... something else could be holding her back, if she doesn't want to.... maybe it's best she's not going to be in the BP.

at least she was honest and up front with you instead of flaking on you last minute. maybe you can have her do a reading at the ceremony?!

Re: BM Bummer
that stinks, but I guess at least she gave you a heads up way before so that was at least nice of her... Maybe there's something else she can do?

Wow I'm sorry!! The economy is so bad right now, I'm sure she wants to be in your BP. As a BM, the cost just adds up.
If you really wanted her to be in your BP, could you offer to pay for her dress?

Re: BM Bummer
Paying for her dress is probably not an option - we are paying for the whole wedding ourselves and I just cant come up with the extra cost.

Re: BM Bummer
I am buying two of my BMs dresses because they are young and cannot afford them. I really wanted them in my wedding.
