I am having BM dress stress. I love traditional long dresses but I now like short ones.
Are you girls doing long or short BM dresses?

i liked long then short n then i saw pics of someones wedding with tee length on heavier girls (which some of mine are ) and i think longer is flattering.
MY honest opinion...i just think the flattering the dress the happier my girls will be.

definately true diane! for some reason short dresses are not flattering at all on heavier girls and i have several in my bp

glad you agree...i mean they will all look beautiful to me no matter what...but i want them to feel pretty and not uncomfy

Thats part of my stress- I have girls size 0 to size 18 so I want what looks great on both. I can get the same dress in tea length or long.
forgot to mention- some 's lBM's like long and others liked the short.

I'd keep in mind that its going to be late July....it might be really hot with a long dress.
I'm doing tea length...but I do love the look of long dresses.

It’s funny; I was totally planning on getting tea-length dresses, but when I went to look yesterday the ones I fell in love with were all long!

I'm doing long but I'm also getting married in a somewhat cooler month than you. If I was getting married in the summer, I would have opted for tea length.

I think you should go with what you want. You are taking into consideration your BMs preferences, but it's your wedding so you pick what you like. Have they explained to you why they want long or short?

I always wanted short and then switched to long. I think that short dresses, especially during the summer, are PERFECT!!!

Its not even that it looks bad on heavier girls. The shorter dress (below knee) will 'chop' their body visually and unless they have long legs, they can look a little dumpy.
I would say longer is better. If you do go with short- go with cocktail length, not tee..JMO

me too! thats the worst..having your bm feel uncomfortable and unpretty all day at your wedding.,..i know i wouldn't want to feel like that
