Please post your bm dresses prices...Mine are $280 ... I'm afraid its too much for them to have to pay.... What do you guys think?

My girls paid $150 without alterations. My cousins MIL did the alterations for them free of charge.

Just to let you know, mine were $290 plus tax (not including alterations). My girls paid for their own dresses. They actually picked the dress out. I asked each of them before they bought the dress were they sure they were okay with paying that amount. They said they were. If you really love the dress, speak with your girls, see what they are willing to do, and like you said, if you don't think you girls can afford to pay the full amount, offer to pay part. But there are girls on here whose dresses are in the high $200s as well.

My BM's dresses were originally $155.00 I got them for $95.00 from Pearls Place. Alterations will be extra.

i think that is a lot. At retail stores the dresses I wanted were in the 280-300 range, then I stumbled upon netbride and got the SAME dresses for 165-190. check out netbride.com!
They were great to work with.

My dresses are listed for $280 and I am getting them at Burton's for $220 so definitely shop around and get quotes from everywhere.

I think its on the high end but still an average price. Mine will be in that range (a little less) but still up there. I don't want to order dresses online.. so I have to just take the retail price... & that seems to be the only place people are getting the really cheap prices.. because i went to all sorts of stores and A LOT of them.. and i think the CHEAPEST price i saw was $160,.. & that was like 1 dress in a sea of dresses at $250... all the popular designers like bill levkoff, jim hjlem, Watters.. all of those dresses cost over $200 AT EVERY STORE ..... so i think spending that much is quite common now and an acceptable price to spend to be in a bridal party. JMO.

In my opinion that is really excessive. Not only will they have to pay for the dress but you must consider the money they will be paying for shoes, possibly undergarments, hair, make up, accessories, the shower and shower gift, the wedding gift and so on. Most girls will not admit to you that it is too much money because they want to go with the flow and not be the one to rock the boat. All because they are your friend/family and care for you. So I say be considerate and consider the financial position of your BMs. Maybe you have a group of girls that are in a position to pay that much, I know most of my girls were not!

bridal reflections wanted $240 + tax for our dresses
Phyllis from gownfind can get it for $192 (tax included)...and her alterations were much less expensive as well

a lil too much.... depending on their financial situation if they all happily agree, than go for it, but since these days everyones has so many expenses and etc...i dont know, ultimately its your decision ...mines were 175$
