BM dresses - second thoughts

So today my girls and I went to the wedding salon of manhasset to get bridesmaid dresses. They didn't have much of a selection, but we found a nice Jim Hjelm Occasions dress that looked good on everyone. It was a trunk show so we got a discount but they had to pay in full right away.

Now for some reason I'm having second thoughts and wondering if we should have waited. I tend to second guess myself a lot when it comes to wedding things. I wonder if the dress is too plain and not fancy enough for the formal wedding I'm having. My dress is super formal, very couture.

What do you think? What should I do? They don't put the order in until Tuesday bc they're closed Monday so I can probably call and cancel and get them refunds.

I think they are very nice and elegant! Love them try not to second guess yourself, make a decision and move on i could spend all day second guessing everything about my weddding!

I love the dress, it's classy and elegant! The color is gorgeous. I always second guess myself so I know how you feel. What do your girls think??

I think the simply elegant dress goes well with your dress. If you want to dress it up look for statement jewerly. IMO, any long dress is elegant and formal.

Also, don't get your hopes up that they can get refunds. Most stores will cancel the order, but they will only give you a store credit.

The order hasn't even been put in yet but yes they did pay. Although of the order was never placed I'd assume theyd have to refund the money...I'll have to call them though. If they'd lose money I wouldn't change it.

They all seemed to like it but i can tell it wasn't everyone's favorite...the place just didn't have a good selection at all and the price was right because of the trunk show discount.

My dress is fit and flare, italian silk satin, sweetheart neckline with beading, and the bottom is all tiers. Hard to explain but it's very couture. That's my concern...that they won't look right next to mine.

I had second thoughts after picking my bm dresses, too. It was between 2 dresses. As soon as everyone put the deposit down I started freaking out a little, but I thought about it and I think I made the right choice.I really think your dresses are going to look even more formal in the eggplant color. Besides, you should be the center of attention. Not them, so even if they aren't as formal as yours, it's ok. It's your day though. Good luck :)

I think the dress is very beautiful and elegant. It kind of reminds me of the dress Pippa wore in the royal wedding!

that white dress is AMAZING. I think i second guess mine too, but thats because they are different a little like yours, and thats when pepole love the dresses the most!

I love the dress! I think it is elagant & will look great in purple. You can always dress it up with accessories or a rhinestone belt. If your dress has a lot going on than this dress will contrast nicely next to yours. I think you should keep it!

I think they'd get cups sewn in during alterations.

thanks everyone. I'm still considering everything... it's really just that i want my 2 MOHs to stand out from the pack. Mix it up a bit.

Maybe you can add a brooch on the waist band where the gathering is? Otherwise, my two MOHs are wearing the same dress as the other maids. I'll just get them different boKs.

Yeah, they can do cups or my girls are getting a clasp put in on the shoulders that can snap around the strap of the bra so it wont show.
