What is everyone doing for there BM's and MOH gifts? Also, I was wondering if anyone ever saw this. I went to a bridal shower not to long ago where the bride gave each of her bm's gifts and then when i was at the rehearsal dinner she gave them gifts for being a part of her wedding. Has anyone else seen this?

I got them necklaces and earrings to wear the day of the wedding as well as a lenox gift box..i am gonna put the jewelry in the box and then after they can use it as a trinket box :) i am gonna do a little something extra for my MOHs but dont know what yet. I havent decided when i am giving them to them yet

I've never seen BMs get a gift at a shower, since all the showers I've been to, were surprises. But, I have to say, my shower was last Sunday, and I do want to give my sister/MOH a gift, to thank her, because she really went above and beyond. As for BP gifts, I got each of them a heart pendant, with their birthstone, and first initial engraved in it, and a make up bag with like, an 'emergency' kit, all over color stick, mascara, lipgloss, eye make up remover, shine mattifier pads, and a tweezer...I also want to get them pashminas to wear the day of...I'm just looking for silver ones so they match, and they can still wear them again...

I'm doing gift bags with things that they can use the day of the wedding and hopefully after.

I'm also putting a 'Bridesmaid/MOH' tank top in there, and $50 gc to get their hair done the day of and a D&G wristlet I got on Canal Street . If I can find the money, I'd like to get them the DOJ, too

id like to pay for their make up the day of the wedding and get them zip up sweat outfits for the morning of the wedding that says bridesmaid.....and then get them a gift - but im not sure what kind of gift yet......maybe coach wristlets or something like that....

I am going to take my BM's the day before the wedding to get a mani/pedi and i am paying for their hair and make-up the day of. But i think i am going to try and get to the coach outlet and maybe look for makeup bags or something out there. I was considering jewlery the day of, but they all have different styles, I wouldn't know what to pick.

At my cousin's wedding about 7 years ago..I was in the BP and her mom (who organized the shower) got all the girls armani statues (Beautiful!) and then at the RD she gave us DOJ. I've seen it at a few Italian showers like that. Personally, I think it's a bit much, but hey- to each his own, I guess.

When I asked them I gave them notepads and the 'Will you be my BM?' cookies.
I'm planning on having my neighbor make pearl earrings and a necklace for each of them to wear and probably a bracelet as well for my MOH. I also want to pay for either their hair and/or makeup the day of. Also, I want to get them each a picture frame engraved with the name and date to give them afterwards with a picture, not sure if i want it to be just the 2 of us or the whole BP!

I've never heard of that for a shower because, like someone else said, it's usually a surprise so the bride isn't prepared with gifts.
As far as what I'm getting them...I don't know yet!
I'd love to get them their DOJ. I'd also like to have a spa party, but I don't know if I'll be able to afford it since I'll be out of work for 3 months before the wedding while I study for and take the bar exam!

I am got them so far: DOJ (my MOH has a diffrent form the res) Coffie Mug with saucer (I will be putting coffee or hot choclate in them ... depending on the girl) Little Tote bags from AVON Bath robes that have hoods which I got embroided with their Initals Slippers to match the robes These oil diffuser sets Day of Flip flops/ballerina slippers (still need to get these)
Thats it so far ... i dont really plan on getting them anything else ... well my MOH i wil get her one spcieal thing ... but then thats it I hope ( i have this little problem that i love to buy things for people) ...
ETA: I wasnt plannning on buyig them all this but I got mostly everything at a great deal!

MY problem is I have 9 girls. Was thinking of a spa certificate for each girls but then it's going to be 1000 all together plus something special for my MOH. Any suggestions??

my sister got us jewelery when she asked...not sure if we are getting anything else at the rehearsal. I was surpised to get a necklace when she asked me though, never saw that b4.

wow 9 is a lot ... i see your problem .. the necklaces so far have been the most expensive thing i bought so far and the only reason they were so expensive is because they are real .. you can find DOJ pretty cheap go to Kohls i hear has a lot try Tri county you def can find something at good prices ... and now that the holidays are coming start looking aroind for small stuff thats on sale thats how i found all my stuff ... the robes with the embroided intials and slippers cost me a little more than 45 for each girl ... which i thought was great ... just think of somethings you would like to get them and then look to see if you can get them at a good price ... if you need help let me know i am usally good at finding things at good prices!!!

I'd love to do the sweat outfits! If we go anywhere for my bach party (like atlantic city or florida) it'd be fun to have those to wear and then for the morning of. Did you find a good place to order?
I'm thinking otherwise maybe going to forever21 and then getting it done somewhere....

Well, i'm getting them each a tiffany's necklace and then a makeup bag with things that are generic, like mascara, an eyelash curler, clear lipgloss, matte powder sheets, and eyebrow kit, etc. I didn't want to do anything with colors b/c everyone has different taste. And i'm just giving it to them at the rehearsal dinner. I've never heard of giving gifts at the shower, especially when it's a surprise. Also i'm getting my MOH something extra, i think a nice bag, just b/c she deserves it b/c she's done sooooo much for me. I have 8 girls, two best friends, and 6 cousins and i'm really close to all of them so i'm making sort of a photo video album of me and each of them growing up. I thought it would be a nice personal touch. But the point is you have to understand it's the thought that counts. Some people can afford more than others, and some people can't afford much at all. All that matters is that you put some thought into it, you know? I'm sure that my wedding party will appreciate the video photo albums i make more than anything else.

i have seen bm get gifts at the shower this is more of an older tradition very italian tradition actually where the bm get statues like arami ones or lladros or dolls that are porclein...it is more of an older tradition that you really do not see anymore and the gifts are placed along the dais by the bms seats....the mother of the bride usually picks them out and gets one for the bride as well...the moh one is usually bigger then the bms and the flower girls is usually smaller...
and then they also get gifts at the RD....

i was looking at really pretty white gold and diamond neckaces from macys for my bm moh and flower girl (they have great prices at the one day sales) and for my GH i was thinking of coach walets....

I have been at bridal showers where they did this too. Armanis, Lladros, Naos, or Swarovski for the bridal party given by the MOB or MIL.
