is it ok to ask all my bm's to wear there hair in an updo. i really like the look of everyone having a nice pulled back hair style, instead of some of the girls with there hair down, or half up or down. just wanted to know if it was acceptabel to ask the girls to have a certain hairstlye. thanks

I do not think it is ok to ask someone to wear their hair a certain way. Not for nothing, but they are doing this as an honor to you, and they have already shelled out a ton of money for a dress and various other things. I just don't think they should have to be responsible for the brides every desire. JMHO.

I would have to agree with not. Some people don't feel comfortable with their hair up and I would want them to feel as comfortable as they can that day

They probably wont have a problem, unless they cant afford to have their hair done. Though I would allow for things like tendrals or somethng because they may feel they don't look good with all their hair pulled back.

I asked my girls to get their hair done...but how they wear it is up to them. I did politly remind them that the ceremony and pictures will be taken outside...in August...and they should consider their comfort when choosing a style

I am one of those people who hates wearing their hair up only because I too hate my ears. They stick out, and I've always been self conscious of them.
The past two wedding where I was a bridesmaid, I had my hair down and styled and it looked great..better than a lot of the updo's some of the girls had. If one of the brides had asked me to wear it up I would have definitely been upset. It may not seem like a big deal to most, but for some girls it is...just something to think about!
I would say ask if you prefer it that way but if any of your BM have a problem with it, then you have to decide how important it is to you.

IMO, it depends on whether you're willing to pay for their hair or not. I am not paying for my BM's hair (just my MOH), so I would never ask them to get there hair done. If they want to, it's on them. They will all look beautiful either way.
