BM help

I lost one of my BMs a few weeks ago. She's a close friend but she's been going through a lot (so much so that she can't even think about her own wedding...) and after we talked for 3hours, everything was worked out and she will be a reader for me at this point. I'm not upset at all because she explained everything and is a trusting friend.
My question is, do I ask someone else to fill her spot?? I have someone in mind and my MOH said it would be ok since my friend backed out (not me kicking her out...). What would you do?? TIA

Its absolutly fine to ask someone to take her spot! The girl backed out due to her own reasons, and should be completly understanding that you would like someone to take her place...

I don't think so (I hope). She was having issues with her wedding party in oct and she was close to asking me to fill in. If I explain it to here, I'm sure she wouldn't mind.
