so you guys already know that im letting them pick the gown they want but now i want two of them in a shade of purple and the other two in a shade of green.
fsil things this is a little to much/bad idea my moh/sis things its a great idea

IMO, I'm not a fan of different colored gowns. But that's just me. I know there was an '09 bride, I think Allegra, that did two different colors, purple and green I believe, and it looked pretty good. So half her BP was in purple, and half in green. I'm pretty sure she has pics posted.

ooh, to tie them into one another you could give the girls in green dresses purple flowers and give the girls in purple more green in their bo-k.

i am not a fan of different colored gowns at all.. the purple and green reminds me of the David Tutera My Fair Wedding episode for that South Beach styled wedding. David said it was a no gn and I have stayed away from green since... Purple on the other hand is the color of my bm dress so i love it. I would stick to all one color for uniformity IMHO

i voted all pruple different gowns, i like the first pic you showed but those colors are soft and have a subtle contrast which is why i think it works, the pruple and green dresses will be drastically different, i think it just may look too busy

IMO, I like the same color/different gown approach better......it can get a bit busy with too many colors.......ORRRRRR I would suggest a common theme....I have been to a wedding where the girls were in pink with a brown sash, and the MOH was in a brown dress with a pink sash, so they all kind of tie together??

i like the idea...but you should assign dress colors for the girls and let them pick the dress
if you let them also pick dress colors there is likely to be more drama.
just pick it based on their height (most likely how you will line up for pictures, right?) and/or skin color.

I am not a huge fan of alternating colors, but that is just me. what if you did shades of purple and different dresses? You can have green in the bo-ks.

It's totally up to you, but IMHO diferent gowns AND different colors is too much.
That last photo, you can't even tell they're a bridal party! Unless that's what you're going for.
My aunt did all different colors, same gown... that was ok, but stil not my fave way to go.
I'd do one color, diff gowns, personally, even if it's different shades of the same color (like your first photo with the pink)

I'm not a huge fan of different colored gowns, although in some instances it can be done right. I think it depends on the color family you are going w/. I think #2 and #3 look pretty; there is a nice variance on the blues especially! At the end of the day it's what YOU want though and what YOU are going to be happy with!

I actually am all for differences in BM looks - I actually dislike when everyone wears the same dress, but I know I am in the minority.
What I am doing is picking a color, brown, but that's it. The rest is up to them - designer, fabric, etc. I don't mind different colors, but I just love brown.

im watching my fair wedding w/ david tutera, and the bride had green and purple bm dresses!!! and david changed them and said they were overwhelming and took away from the bride

i know its my day but its really important to me that the girls be happy.
ive think ive accomplished that.whoohoo they love the colors that they will be wearing and most important they are happy with the gowns they have selected. its only fsil who thinks its to busy. my moh/sis & another bm said if i had a really big bridal party it might look like a little messy.
guess im going to have to tell fsil not to worry about what my pics are going to look like.
