Okay so my girls picked out and ordered their BM dresses today.
However, i must have missed this at the time, but i just found out that one of my bm's had to pay an extra $45 dollars because they had to order her a size 22. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? That's so wrong on so many levels. If you go to gap, you don't pay extra for getting a size 12 versus a size 2. So why should it be different for these dresses?
I feel horrible. I mean as if it wasn't bad enough that she couldn't fit into any of the dresses the rest of the girls tried on today... but now you're going to penialize her for getting a bigger size? SO WRONG. Oh and did i mention that the dresses for BM's samples were a size 10. One of my BM's is a size 2 in regular clothing and she ordered a 10 for the dress. So i mean... how can you penialize someone for a bigger dress like that, especially when the dresses are all bigger than normal size? It's just not fair and these bridal places should have 2 sizes for each dress. I know it sounds crazy, but it's not fair to those girls who aren't a stick figure.
Ok i'm done complaining. Okay so i'm just curious... has this happened to anyone????

Re: BM's dresses-Extra $ for bigger size?
I have this problem myself. And I only need 1 size bigger then the regular price dresses! At least Carole at Burton's gave me a break since she couldn't discount my dress. She didn't charge me the extra amount and I think that saved me something like $60! But my MOH's dress was $40 more then the other girls. It's ridiculous. Who decides what size is a 'plus size'. It *****.

Having been the size 22 bridesmaid I can tell you that it does suck, but $45 extra is not that bad. A certain place in Massapequa that will remain nameless charged me in excess of $240 for alterations.... (I'm not bitter or anything)
