Are you insisting that they get it done or are you giving them the option???

well everyone in my BP are make-up wearers anyway - so i know everyone is getting it done. but i would not insist with where they have to get it done. i think that is a little - i dunno - pushy.
but i don't think you'd be wrong to tell them you would like everyone to get it done. let them decide if they are going to go with who you are using or not.

I'm giving them the option - some girls know what they're doing with make up so I wouldn't force them to get that done. One has complained about cost, but I'm not making anyone do anything against their will. They just are responsible for making themselves look presentable.

I would not feel right about making my BM do anything that I would have resented being a BM.

MY BMs/MOH and I are all going to the same salon to do makeup and hair. I have a small bridal party, so it makes it easier to make arrangements and decisions.

The person who is doing my hair also will be doing my make up. She does not have her own line of stuff. I am getting my own make up and she is applying it for me. The other ladies have the same option for both hair and make up. As long as they dont look like painted ladies I could care less who does their make up. They are all 35 and rather conservative (except my 12 and 14 year old nieces who shouldnt be wearing THAT much make up anyway)

I am not requiring anyone to get their makeup done...I feel that it is an added expense & some girls in my BP don't have that laying around...They are more then welcome to get it done if they want, but it is not a necessary

Nope - if they want it done (or their hair) that is 100% up to them. Honestly I hope they all don't get it done cause that would be alot of makeup and hair to get done in time for our morning ceremony!

Im giving them the option.. Although I know for sure they will all want to get it done. I have 2 girls in my BP that do makeup so nice.. it looks professionally done.

I am making them all get their hair done in up-do's - so I am paying for their hair as part of their gift. I will have a make up person at my house, so they have the option of paying for it themself. I am buying hair & make up for my MOH.

I am not making it mandatory. My girls all know that the make up person (still gotta find hair) will be at my house. I told them how much it will cost and most seem to want to get their make up done.

I told them it was up to them- I was ok with whatever they wanted to do, the BM's want to do it, but my MOH doesn't. Thats fine with me.

I am doing the same thing, though I think this may be one of the 'burdens' one takes up when agreeing to be in a bridal party. they know going in that it's going to cost money and there will be primping and preening. If I were in a BP, I would definitely get it done since I am clueless about m/u, but I think those that have some skills can DIY.
if they don't want to use the same m/u artist you are, perhaps they can make an appt at a m/u counter (depending on the time of the wedding) the most it would cost is a purchasing a few products, and you get to keep them so it works out (at least in my view).

Re: BMs/MOH and makeup...(WITH POLL)
I'm paying for hair/makeup for all the girls (as well as their dresses) as their gifts. It comes to a little under $200 per girl, which is what I probably would've paid for their gifts anyway.

No, I gave all the girls the opinion. I told them they can wear their hair and makeup how they wish.

Re: BMs/MOH and makeup...(WITH POLL)
I'm giving my girls the option of either having it done or doing it themselves. I don't want anyone washed out in pics but I don't want them to break the bank over this either, and I can't pay for them or I would.
