Bocelli's in Staten Island and another question...

I was wondering if anyone has even been to Bocelli rest. in Staten Island? We were invited to a 50th b day party there in July and of course IM already wondering what to wear?!?!?! Is it dressy? Somewhat dressy? Ive never been to a 50th b day party actually so I dont even know what to give? Do you give money?? A gift?? Any help would be sooooooo appreciated...im neurotic!

It depends on how close you are with the person. I recently went to a 60th and we gave $100 check.
it really depends on whether its family, friend, coworker, and of course you can buy a gift, you dont have to get money. i saw quite a number of gifts. I usually prefer to buy gifts, something more personal to that person, but in this case, we just couldnt think of anything

But in general, I think we are in the mentality of 'cover your plate' i guess. but of course thats not a must, its just a way of thinking that we do subconsciously, and then add to it if its close family..
