Bonehead move of the year - Yanks' Kevin Brown breaks hand!

Bonehead move of the year - Yanks' Kevin Brown breaks hand!

After leaving the game losing in the 6th inning I believe... Kevin Brown returns to the locker room and punches the wall with his non-pitching hand. He ends up breaking it in a few places.

Talk about BONEHEAD move of the year! This team is collapsing as we speak. He was their only decent pitcher and now he will be gone for at least a few weeks.

Boston won again today and the lead is down to 2 1/2 games.

An ugly situation at the Yanks' clubhouse indeed.

See... this is a typical yankee fan response knowing they can't say anything else. Can't even comment at the topic at hand. Big deal the Mets lost.

But I am definitely going to laugh my *** off when the 200mil evil empire crumbles once again in the playoffs.

And before the 'well at least we get there' comment comes out... remember with a 200mil payroll anything less than a WS victory is a failure.

If you want to think otherwise... ask 'The Boss' if he is happy with 'just making it there'.

Kevin Brown and the rest of the Yankees just got

Yeah but too bad it will be a *short* playoff memory for the Yanks. Again this is a prototypical yankee fan now deeply concerned that WS failure is imminent once again.

Whats the matter... still can't comment about the topic at hand?

what is there to say...he has a penis...he got angry and hit something...
that has nothing to do with being a Yankee that has everything to do with being a stupid man!

LOL... see you could have said this first, without the desperate METS SUCK posts.

I think my FW actually once took a customer service call from him because his Optimum was not working. She said he was a nasty f**ker too on the phone. Not a pleasant person. And my FW is a Yankee Fan.

And to think the Yanks are paying this fool 15mil (and I think part of Weaver's salary) for him to blunder like this right before playoff time. Couldn't have happened to a better guy IMO.

I kept mouth shut duing this wonderous few weeks of yankee suckiness. But I had to say something when I heard this one.

HOLD ON.. STOP THE PRESSES!!!!

A true-blue Yankee fan saying, 'At least we made the play-offs' ???.. No way. Yankee fans don't talk like that. Bad Yankee fan. Bad!

I said that in '99.. and got a lot of sh!t thrown right back in my face by NYY fans.

Now it's OK for Yankee fans to say that???

Oh no.. If the Yanks don't win the Series every year, their season will have been a miserable failure. And I am a jerk enough (LOL..) to do just that.

Now after my Yankee fans bashing let me speak objectively....

I cannot believe what an a-hole Kevin Brown is. To be THAT stupid is mind-boggling. His team needs him right now b/c he has been half decent. And to do something so selfish. And so stupid. Does he realize how much that hurts the Yankees? Jack-a$$ = Kevin Brown.

Watch out for the BoSox.. seriously.

If it comes down to pitching.. which the playoffs are all about.. the Yanks could be in deep, deep trouble. hehe

MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

ALSO.. I wished he would have reacted like a woman more than a man in this situation.. Hitting the wall is not good..

HE SHOULD HAVE.. just sat in the corner and cried and had some comfort food.

now, i'm not going to get involved in this because I'm always the one that gets someone offended but I will say this:

There are two trends that always happen when a Met fan and Yankee fan debate:

Whenever a Met fan makes a comment about the Yankees, the Yankee fan retaliates by bashing the Mets, whether or not the cause of their problem is the Mets or not.

Then when the Yankee fan retaliates, the Met fan goes after the $200 million salary and how they're not living up to the hype.

Just find this interesting

Yeah but even after the 22-0 crucifixion... I didn't say anything.

But this thing today with Brown... I just can't resist. Bonehead of the year award!

I just read on the news that Brown said he is 'deeply sorry... and is going to split up the hand and pitch with it'.

We will see... he may not be out for that long after all (probably no DL trip)... but I wonder how he going to put a glove on over that hand with a splint on it.

Just a quick edit... Brown said he is going to SPLINT up the hand and pitch with it on.

We'll see. They are in trouble nonetheless. Will make for a good conclusion of the season.

he better get that glove on that hand.. after El Duque.. it's slim pickings. Red Sox should be laughing over that Contreras thing now.

Hold on. I have to go order my Loaiza jersey. It matches well with the Weaver one.. hehe
DjPiLL Posted:

Re: Bonehead move of the year - Yanks' Kevin Brown breaks hand!

I don't think El Duque is going to be that effective in the playoffs either.

Granted he is doing quite well now. But he didn't pitch for a long time... and that unusual delivery he has has batters baffled currently.

The Yanks still have a LOT of games left against the SOX. They are definitely going to see Hernandez at least once... maybe twice before the playoffs start.

I think once playoffs hit... he will get exposed like he did before he left the Yankees the first time.

The two key pitchers the Yanks had were Brown and Vasquez... and right now I wouldn't bet the house on either of them.

Its all a moot point anyways cause the cards will probably win the WS this year anyways. That team is deadly... the perfect combination of offense/defense/pitching.
