nope, i've ignored all Met bashing threads for some time because I get hot and don't feel like getting banned. If I think it's a slam against the Mets, I don't read it

But has there been a single thread/post started saying anything negative about the Mets lately?????
I can't remember seeing one?

Yes i have poked fun at you guys a little in other threads but i was all in good fun...just a little teasing
Nothing directed at the team itself!
This is the second or is it 3rd dig on the Yankees!

Personally I dont see the point to any of these threads. Everyone who watches baseball knows what happens in the game, and just posting about it will start a debate between Met and Yankee fans as it did here.

I truly dont think this whole thread had any bashing...

I think that Jenn524 implied that and then boom..out of control...All of us are adults...as far as Im concerened BASH away...I'm 29 years old, if your posts/opinons have anything substantial to say..then by all means SAY IT!

See you can't blame me for this one cause this should have died last night. But you guys continued to *debate* it in my absense. Hehehehehe.

But I do want to address a few points. My original post was in no way a *bash* at yankee fans. It was a bash at strictly Kevin Brown. He just killed his team.

Remember the 22-0 thread? Did I make a single post in that thread? NOPE. I could have... but whats the point. It was just one game. I don't get involved with single game crap.

With the exception of when the Mets play the Yanks, and perhaps during the playoffs, I post NEWS (like the Giambi sickness, the brown f-up, etc.). This was legitamite news... and I posted it right after it happened. I think a lot of people weren't even aware of it.


Oh and Oct2004.... why didn't I post it in the Yankee board? Cause you are right... I wanted more attention.

Until this site wants to ENFORCE proper topic placement... why should I bother to follow? I see Bridal stuff all the time in NWR... cross posted in BHB, BHB05, etc. Home stuff in NWR. TTC in NWR. NWR stuff in the BHB section!

I think its really silly of you to suggest I do that when frankly... nobody else on the site does it.

And I also think the Yanks and Mets boards should go... along with the '04 and 05 boards (but thats another story).

but most likely .....you get a reaction like mine. Is it silly, maybe (in my mind i laugh at a Met fan criticize the Yankees) but that is why i post what i post...It is my natural reaction to a Yankee dig (WHICH IT WAS!). Don is correct in the way these debate go...
BUT this has gone on because i was attacked or 'called out LOL' for my comments...Which was just plain silly..For me to be criticize for my interpretation of a post is as immature as the comments itself.

I still think it was really a man issue and not so much a Yankee issue...
was it even more sad that it was a pitcher...yup

Well you can't blame me for critisizing you. Jenn did that. (Not that I don't agree with her - but at least it didn't come out of my mouth this time hahahaha).

Of course it wasn't a 'Yankee' issue. If he purposely did that to spite his team... thats a whole different issue.

Anyways.... whats the update on this hand... did you hear anything? I heard last night he was going to try to pitch with it in a splint.

But I was out all day today and not online so I dont know what developments happened today.

Yup my first reaction is to dig back...But the comments that were made were stupid...we all do it on any post/thread..So this isn't anything new!

As far as the hand..i heard about the splint thing and that was it...

I'm not replying to the posts regarding if I took this too seriously or not. In some people's eyes I did, in my eyes I didn't. I didn't mean to insult anyone. I was just sharing my feelings on the reaction. I think it's best if we put it to bed and agree to disagree. I don't need to fight with Yankee fans, I have enough debates with Mets and Red Sox fans. So let's put that behind us and move on.

As for the Brown issue, he was stupid to do it. Torre and Cashman are pissed, as are his teammates. They announced today that he might be out for the season and is out for at least 3 weeks.

Good news is that at least Boston lost. The magic number now is 26-this is going to be a killer end to the season.
