it was meant as a joke - lighthearted - I think YOU have the paranoia problem.

Espo is sarcastic. Not vicious. I hardly think she thought you were attacking her.

On the other hand, saying that any girl drinking beer out of a can is trashy, well, that's just not cool. Kind of like saying that you laugh at small, imperfect stones. Didn't your mother teach you that if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all? I don't recall anyone asking your opinion about girls drinking beer. So simply don't state it.

Denise, I dont like beer either bc of the taste but Going to the blue point brewery or dublin is reallllllyyy nice and fun regardless :)

in sum and the last 2 min of my day i will give this: if a thread asks for an opinion, he**'s yeah i give it (good or bad)...
if a girl is writing about something like in this case nwr, i don't drop by like a pigeon to drop some s**t for no reason. i see they're talking about something they both are doing and they are interested in, so i go about my biz as usual

Thank you, I agree. The problem is that there are groups of friends on here that when one takes something personally the other one jumps on in and it becomes a big thing for nothing. I don't like beer...that's it. If someone takes that personally it's not my fault. How can we ask, 'what do you think of pink flowers because I'm not crazy about them' and 20 people who are using pink get offended, then what's the point of this board?

Well at times it's hard to not post on random crap when sitting around doing nothing....some people post on everythign and are somehow involved in every single thing that goes on...so how to avoid that, don't know.

yes i thought it would be great for summer...ive had blue point blueberry beer and i hated it, not sure about their other beers...but im willing to go there even if i dont drink any, sounds like a cool place to hang out on the water and i know fh would like it, glad to hear its a fun place, thank you

OK, so let me just point out to you that the reason a lot of us are friends and friendly to one another is that we don't attack people and their preference by calling them trashy... FYI.

No, actually not true. Some people may know each other, but I'd say more people do not.

There's a difference between commenting on something and being plain old tactless. Saying that people who drink beer are peasants or making scornful faces at people who have imperfect diamonds is not a 'comment' but rather tactless. There is a MAJOR difference.

This had nothing to do with you. It was a question directed at me about a brewery. Saying you dont like beer is fine. But saying that your family jokes that peasants drink beer (implying that we are BENEATH you for doing so) is just rude.
