Re: Book Club Meeting!

Speaking of her happiness and all that, would you move to another state for someone who hasn't even made a real commitment to you?

I moved in with FH before we were engaged but I only moved to the next town... dont think I would have been able to change states and buy a house... the purchase makes it seem so permanent!

my computer is so slow right now and I need to go to bed. I will read all of this in the morning. It was fun to chat and I look forward to more.
Good night ladies, sorry I am such a poop right now.
Look forward to more thoughts as we continue to read.

I don't know if i'd be able to do that, I also moved in with FH with before we were engaged, but it was like 8 blocks away. But another state, for something unknown? i'm not sure i could.

I got the feeling that Gabby did that because it's something her mother would have done and it just seemed like she's spent her life trying to be what other people want her to be instead of being Gabby. Travis, on the other hand, seems confident enough to do what he wants to do no matter what his friends and their wives say.

Definitely agree, i think she thinks it was expected of her, a sort of calculated move.

I'm not so sure about Travis though... the idea of a family is somewhere in his mind, even if it's pushed far to the back. Why isn't he building that dream house if he's so happy with his life?

I think the idea of family is definitely in his mind, but like you said, its far to the back. He doesn't seem to control his life, or at least thats the front he puts up.

That is exactly what I feel like when I read his books! Its like its playing in my head and I can picture everything exactly as he writes it. I love that about his books!
