Booked Jericho Terrace, but now I'm freaking out. JT brides help!!

We're booked for a Saturday night in July of next year. I got so swept up in the glamour of Jericho Terrace that I didn't even consider the 'other weddings at same time' thing.

Our ceremony/reception is going to be in the Skylight room. Ceremony at 7 pm, CH from 730-830, and reception in skylight room from 830-1230.

There is another wedding booked for that night in the Dome room. Their ceremony is at 5:30, CH 6-7, and reception 7-11.

I am totally freaked out by this now. What are the chances of running into this other bride or her guests? What if we hear their DJ during our ceremony or loud music during our first dance? What if we can't take photos where we want because these people are?

Someone help, I'm panicking and regretting :(

not to add to it but if your ceremony is at 7 and there reception starts at 7 you really need to think about the noise and the introductions coming from the other room... the last thing you want to be doing is walking down the aisle and all you hear is the bass bumping as a DJ yells, and all other guests are cheering... i would reevaluate the timing

I looked at JT but didn't ultimatley book there. I have heard great things about them..they deal with the start time issue all the time. I would just talk to your BM and work it out with them. I'm sure it will be fine. They wouldn't have the reputation they have if this was a problem.

Don't panic! Do any reviews mention this being an issue at their wedding? I've never been to Jericho Terrace but are the rooms and ceremony locations very close together?

Most reviews don't mention it, but there have been a few :( including some guest reviews on this website. My room is undergoing renovation in January and they said they're adding more insulation, but does that help with noise?

I'll be furious if we hear another DJ or any loud thumping/cheering during our ceremony!

Insulation will definitely help with noise! We just redid the whole first floor on our house and we used to be able to hear our next door neighbors talking and now we can't hear anything.

Don't worry, you'll be so focused on your FH during the ceremony that you probably wouldn't notice anything anyway! You love the venue and I'm sure you'll have a great time and a beautiful wedding.

I understand why you're worried because one wedding at a time was one of my biggest concerns, but I definitely wouldn't stress about it! My friend got married there on a Saturday night in August in that same room and her wedding was AMAZING! I actually still talk about how great it was - the food, service, everything was perfect!

As far as the other bride? My thought is 'so what'? I dont think it would be the worst thing that you and the other bride pass by eachother for a moment. You will have a great day!!!

i have been to 4 weddings there and every single one i never saw other guests, brides or heard other music - i wouldnt stress it! they know what theyre doing when it comes to weddings! food is amazing and place is beautiful! dont worry about it so much!

Thanks, I hope I'm freaking over nothing. I guess I don't mind so much seeing another bride, I just want to make sure that A) our picture taking time isn't ruined (waiting for the other wedding to finish, etc) and B) that you don't hear any other music besides ours during the ceremony.

Did anybody else here have a ceremony at JT? How did it go?
