I was supposed to have my shower at my aunts but when she heard it was more than 20 people she asked if we could change it.. so me and my girls called around 50 places and only a few were still free (May is communion season)http://www.lapiazzacaterers.com/
we checked it out and booked yesterday. I'm on a hardcore diet so I couldn't try the food but it's Italian so yum lol. very nice looking inside!
of course that's the easy part. the hard part is my mom arguing everyday because she wants fh's mom to help pay and my dad to help pay. *sighs*

Never been here, but it looks REALLY nice! I can't imagine an Italian place having bad food either, so I think you're golden!

Nice!! The place looks lovely! I've passed it a few times but never at there. You're doing your shower THIS may? Can I ask why so early?Also.. regarding the paying for a bridal shower... etiquette says: brides mother/family and bridal party is to pay for the shower.
FH family is supposed to pay for rehearsal dinner.
At least thats what my etiquette book says lol.

when it was going to be at my aunt's that was the only time she could have it since they will be in Europe most of the summer (must be nice) lol. then my mom, my grandma, my aunt booked plane tickets. so even though she isn't doing it at her house I left the same date since they all already got tickets.
I always hear the bp doesn't pay anymore that just the mom. plus none of my girls can afford it anyway. it's so much $$$$ these days dresses, hair, makeup, gifts, bach parties.

I think now a days it is hard to still follow suit with the traditional who pays for what since everything is so expensive. My FH and I have planned to pay for everything. If someone wants to contribute great but we don't expect and just have been paying ourselves.

The place looks awesome and you can never go wrong with Italian food! I agree, we have planned to pay for everything from the beginning so any contributions we have been offered are a blessing. My FH's parents lost their home during Sandy so things have been rough since October (and we got engaged like 3 weeks before!) *sigh*Welcome New Vendors
