We booked our photographer a little over a week ago..I sent her a check in the mail & didn't really get any response until I emailed her a couple days later asking if she received it, in which she replied 'yes, a couple days ago.'. I haven't spoken to her since then, it almost feels like we don't even have a photographer! maybe I'm wrong but shouldn't we set up an apt. or talk about shooting my wedding? or are these things that come once it gets closer to the big day?. It seems like so far my experience with vendors is just laying money down and not speaking to them again!

Re: Booked - now what?
Don't worry once it gets closer to the big day you'll speak to them and plan how you want things to get done. Most vendors just take deposits run through how they do the work and then get in touch with you when it is closer to your date. I guess they do that since people have the tendency to change their minds about things, but do follow up and if you have certain questions never hesitate to ask.

Are you doing e-pics? That might be a way to ease your mind a bit and get some questions asked.

The only time I talked to my photographer was for e-pics. You really don't do much with your vendors until it is alot closer to the wedding unless you have questions.

Yea you really don't need to do anything with your photog just yet unless you want to schedule your e-pics. We booked with ours in July and just got in touch with her about a week ago to schedule our e-pics (we wanted to wait until now to take them). I wouldn't be worried.

Re: Booked - now what?
We booked our photographer in Feb and just took our epics last weekend. We haven't had any contact with them but they said they'd be in touch to set up a meeting to discuss as it gets closer.
dont worry about it!!

I have the same photog, we didn't have e-pics in our package because we weren't going to get them but added it in like I said about a week or so ago. We're doing it Nov 10th. I hope the weather is ok!!

Re: Booked - now what?
Your photog should have at least emailed or called you and said she received your deposit. You shouldn't have had to ask. But other than that there prob isn't much to discuss (unless you have questions) until it gets closer to your date.
I'm always stalking my photogs facebook page to see the new pix he's posted I've communicated with him a bit over FB.

ummmm yes they should definitely be calling you to set up a meeting! I booked my first photographer and he never set up anything with me for over a month. I dropped him and went with someone else!
