Best day ever!

I liked the idea of staying somewhere on Long Island so that we can go straight there after the reception without having to travel too far. We are having a town car take us to the hotel, which is about 40 minutes from our venue.

Niagara Falls would be great too though!

Booked our mini-moon

Love this idea! I think its important to get away after the wedding, even if it is just for a night or two. My FH and I are doing this as well. I am a teacher and we are getting married in November, so we are waiting until December for the Christmas break to go away on our honeymoon, but are planning two nights away after we are married. We were thinking out east at the wineries or the city. We were engaged at the wineries, so it might be nice to return, but the city has more options for things to do. We haven't decided yet.

Any suggestions?

Also, love Hotel Indigo! I've stayed there twice. Both times were a great experience. Their restaurant has delicious food and also offers beer and wine flights for tastings. You are going to have an amazing time! Enjoy :)

I'm happy to hear such good feedback, thank you! :)

I think it would be so nice if you stayed out by the wineries in honor of where you got engaged! This is my first time staying near the north shore so I'm not familiar with any other hotels - but how about looking for places that have a spa and/or restaurant - similar to Hotel Indigo.

I'm sure you would have a great time in the city too though - so convenient and so much to do!

Booked our mini-moon

My FI and I frequent the wineries more often then we should! It's one of our favorite activities, so I think he would rather the city. I should bring up to him a different hotel or some spa treatments out east tho. He would love a couples massage! And personally, I would love the wineries.

Do you know which wineries you are going to? Do you have a personal wine tour or one with a group leaving from the hotel?

There's no such thing as going to the wineries too often! ;)

We are doing a personal tour that leaves from the hotel. We get to choose 3 places from a list of options and actually only chose 1 winery! We will probably go to a couple more on our own the next day.

For the tour we are going to Bedell, LiV & Crooked Ladder Brewery.

That sounds amazing! I'm going to have to share this with the FH. Maybe throwing in a brewery will sway him. He loves Crooked Ladder. Your going to have such a great time!

Thank you! I know that's what helped my fiancé love the idea too ;)
