Re: Booking for 2012

we booked for July 2012 a few months a go...heres the thing, if you have a specific weekend in mind it is never too early IMO..we had a date in mind and we wanted it for sure lol it only takes 1 person to book on your day/weekend..plus, like the other girls mentioned you will lock in these prices v. 2012 prices! it is also a baseline for your budget..we ended up booking a place that was more expensive than we intended but since we have like 2 yrs we know how we will budget ourselves, you know?

never too early! if you want a specific date, then go for it! we actually booked before the church (woops!) and before we were engaged lol.

This is great everyone! Thank you so much! I especially like the fact about the pricing...i didn't even think that it might be more expensive in 2012 than it is now...lol!

And yes I have been to the 2012 boards...and will definitely be shifting between here and there!

I don't think it's too early, but it also depends on if you are DEAD SET on getting married certain months. October is a HUGE month to get married now, so is September and the summer months (starting in May). I got engaged New Years of 2009 and we just got married last month. I booked my RH 3 weeks after we got engaged due to the fact that I wanted to make sure we got Labor Day weekend (Columbus Day weekend everywhere was booked 3 YEARS IN ADVANCED). It's never too early to start looking at reception halls. Then you can guarentee your date. I would say the biggest thing I regret ordering early was my BMs dress because when they came in everyone was COMPLETELY different sizes from the year and a half before that they ordered.
