Booking Imagine Studios...Question?

I'm thrilled to be booking them tommorrow for both photo and video. I love their work and they were so nice!
I just have one question. Does anyone know what is their policy if for some reason either of them has some type of emergency and can't show up? Who do they provide for a back-up, since it is just the 2 of them? Thanks.

Re: Booking Imagine Studios...Question?

When I met with Imagine, Lia told me that if she cannot shoot the wedding, her assistant does it (I think with another photographer). To be honest, that is why I did not book w. them (plus that they are very pricey), as I did not want to worry about what would happen if they could not make it to the wedding. Esp since they are married, so anything that would happen would affect both of them. I went w. a studio, and feel a lot better that way. I did love Lias work though, and if you are not a big worrywort like me I am sure you will be very happy w. it.

Re: Booking Imagine Studios...Question?

That did concern me at first, when we were looking in to photographers, but Lia calmed my nerves. She let us know that, in the event that she could not shoot our wedding she will send 2 photographers one to shoot color and one to shoot B&W. Thinking back on it now, it was a waste for me worrying, b/c no matter who you go with, what is there to gurantee that the photographer that you choose from a studio or an individual, will not get sick and they will have to send someone else? Nothing is guaranteed, you just have to try not to let things that you have no control over consume your thoughts.

In the event that Nelson cannot shoot the video they will send a replacement. All the best Lulu, you will be very pleased.

Re: Booking Imagine Studios...Question?

Lulu - good for you that you found a studio that matches your style and budget - that's a huge accomplishment!

It's great that you can come here and ask some brides-to-be and newlyweds questions about Imagine, but I want to offer some advice and words of caution regarding this particular question.

PLEASE call Imagine Studios and ASK THEM for an answer to this. Do not take what the women on this board say as your answer, b/c on the day of your wedding, none of them will be there if something goes wrong with your photos and video.

I have absolutely NOTHING against the women who responded, but you are contracting with a vendor, and I believe that the vendor owes you an explaination about their emergency policies. Please go over this IN DETAIL with them before you sign your contract.
Best Wishes!

Re: Booking Imagine Studios...Question?

I wouldn't worry about the slim chance there is an emergency. My friend is a wedding photographer in NJ and he works alone and in nine years has never sent a replacement. This is their job and they are not going to stay home if their child has a stomach ache or they have a headache. IF that does happen I am sure they know other people who are very capable if something comes up.

Re: Booking Imagine Studios...Question?

Thanks for the info. I signed the contact today and shamma, you were correct about their policy. I'm not worried about it at all now.

Re: Booking Imagine Studios...Question?

Obviously Lulu wanted answers from those that have used or is using Imagine Studios, so Claud your statement of don't take what these women on this board say, was totally not necessary. Our word might not be bond but it can definitely make a bride feel better in the decision that they have to make.

You are spending big bucks with these people, obviously ask the questions of them and get the answers that you need. You making such a comment is like telling us that us sharing our experiences or answering another birde's question is null and void unless the answers comes from the vendor in question.

I would advice every bride to get from the vendor whatever will make them comfortable written in stone/their contract. She asked a question and we gave her an answer. We are here to offer help and advice from our experiences.
