Re: Booking Photographer and DJ
You have plenty of time. I booked mine about a year-10 months before.

Re: Booking Photographer and DJ
We booked ours a year in advance but I know that when we were book brides had already booked 2 years out.I think it depends on how set you are on having a particular vendor or if you are flexible if they are already booked for your date.

If you have a date and a place, then get right on booking these. You really can't do anything too early. Cliche but don't put off what you can do today.

Re: Booking Photographer and DJ
We booked ours 2 years before our wedding and I am glad that we did. We were able to book the photographer and DJ that we wanted, paid the price of the vendors that it was then so we saved alot of money and it was 2 less things we had to worry about.

Book your hall and church (or ceremony place) and then onto these 2 vendors. I dont think its really ever too soon but you have plenty of time to 'shop around'.

The sooner you book, the cheaper the prices- usually.

Re: Booking Photographer and DJ
I'm getting married in Sept 06 and I booked my hall last month. I thought I had plenty of time for photo/video, but when I called around just to get pricing some places were already booked! For me video and photo are very important so I'm looking around now to get the best prices and best quality for my money. Remember the longer you wait, theses services are guarenteed to go up$$$$

Re: Booking Photographer and DJ
I say go for it now as long as you know date, time, and location. I booked photo about a year and a half in advance and wish I would've booked a DJ earlier than 11 months in advance b/c I didn't get my first choice.Welcome New Vendors
