I really, really like E. Lynn Harris - it's all about African American gay men and their struggle. Double whammy they get hit with - black and gay. Trust me, they're good and the novels teach you a lot about love, acceptance, and humanity.

I've been reading a lot of 'chick lit' lately, so maybe I'll have to switch gears with James Patterson. I've only read Kiss The Girls (YIKES!) and my dad just read Cross... so I know they're really good.

i absolutely LOVE the shopaholic books. they are REALLY funny, and they are a quick read. the first one is the best...'confessions of a shopaholic' they are by sophie kinsella. if you want something light and fun def pick it up.

I agree...Shopaholic Ties the Knot was also good. If you are going to get any of her books make sure you read Confessions of a Shopaholic first....then Shopaholic Takes Manhattan followed by Shopaholic Ties the Knot
