I really missed something here - but just an fyi kedra - we did have a BOTW in waiting list. I am not sure who was in charge or if it was updated, but maybe you can take the names off of that?? it might be easierto start the new one though.. the other one may not have been updated.

Once you are chosen as BOTW - you post a Question of the Day every day for your week - its a little fun thing to do to get the boards moving

i think its a great idea to tell your FH nice things about why you are happy about marrying them- but i don't think that has to take the place of someone getting to rock the veil. IMO i think we can do both- speak kindly to our FH's and one another and answer daily questions. I dont think it has to be one or the other.
personally, i was chosen by a girl i had never met before and i chose someone that IMO is always positive, honest and kind. neither portrayed any underlying sense of 'popularity'. i hate when people feel hurt, left out, or fight!!
i'm sure there are many girls on this board who have yet to be BOTW and would truly be flattered to be chosen and have the chance to have their questions heard. i do not think it's fair to deny anyone that considering it is a tradition that comes along with this site, not something created by a 'clique' in the past few months.
instead of prolonging the dramatics of what ever went on on the boards in the past- i agree that it is time to get back to what girls come to this site for- wedding planning insight from other brides! We need a BOTW to lead us by example to play nice again!

I'm over the dramatics of this. Beth didnt want to be BOTW...fine. We have all said we respect her decision. But honestly....a simple 'no thank you, choose someone else' would have done the trick. JMO of course (which doesn't seem to fly around here anymore).

I agree that this is a tradition, and that no one has to participate, but let's not take it away from other girls who want to be BOTW. If you choose not to accept, than the original BOTW should re-choose. This allows for girls who want to be BOTW to do so, and girls who don't to not.
