BOTW

So I guess I'll be the one to bring up the BOTW issue.

While I understand that Bethie doesnt feel it necessary to participate as BOTW, there are plenty of girls on this site that would love to be BOTW.

Everyone has their own thoughts about how the BOTW works or is chosen but at the end of the day, its a TRADITION of LIW, if its not something that you care to participate it, thats fine, but then lets move on and choose someone new.

If J79 does not want to choose someone else, i know someone who would wear the VEIL with pride and love it. Shes been on this site longer than I have and is nothing but a help to everyone.

Not everyone has to participate in everything that happens here, but lets please not forget the girls that DO want to.

Just my opinion.

agreed...and I wanna nominate someone! cause when I chose mine, I had to chose between 2 amazing girls. I dont regret choosing Laura one bit but wish I could have chosen my other choice too!\

i know who i would nominate - she's such a positive person and is always quick to help the other brides on this site. i think she deserves the recognition of BOTW. plus, she has some of the cutest epics around

let's see how the other ladies (including last week's BOTW J79) feel about passing the veil to another bride, but my vote is for Jenn to nominate someone else

I agree w/Kendra, its a LIW tradition and we should continue to follow it...
There are plenty of girls who have NOT been BOTW and should have BEEN BOTW....

I have to agree with Kedra here! BOTW is something that every board does and to me it was an honor when I was chosen. Rita picked me as BOTW and we have never met, I then picked Kedra for BOTW and again, we have never met so I don't think it is clique-y at all.

I totally respect Beth's decision and I can definetly see where she is coming from, but I do not agree with not having a BOTW. I look forward to the QOTD and I think it's a great way for us to all get to know one another a little better.

Agree! I would totally want to be BOTW. Maybe we can start a list of girls that would like to be BOTW so that the BOTW can choose from the list so we don't have this happening. Its just a thought!

this is a great idea to avoid picking people who would prefer not to participate (which is totally fine), but gives the girls who want to participate a chance to wear the veil

\this wouldn't be such a bad idea. there are plenty of girls who have not yet been BOTW and some of us brides may not know who has not yet been picked. it would make it easier in the selection making process - especially if you don't know each other outside of this website.
i wouldn't mind being BOTW either!

I agree. Its a tradition and has been for a long time. I totally respect if anyone does not want to be BOTW, but I know plenty or girls who would love to be! I have a few nominations in mind too

I agree. Totally up to Jenn whether or not she wants to re-choose...but like the others...I have someone in mind who totally deserves to be BOTW. The only reason she wasn't chosen when I was BOTW was because there were girls who were more actively participating on the boards at the time and it came down to a coin toss pretty much.

I just think that if the chosen one isn't interested (which is fine, that's her decision to make and I support it!) I think the veil should be passed on to someone who wants it. It's an LIW tradition, not a tradtion of a specific group of girls.

With all due respect girls, it is absolutely NOT your decision to make. If you can't live without a BOTW nor respect how I asked the week to play out, then Jenn can pick again.

If Beth does not want to do BOTW, then I think it's only fair if I get to pick the next one since 'my pick' declined. I too, was between 2 people and I would like to pick the other one.

In the past when the new BOTW was picked she included a list of people who were already selected - that way you saw who already was selected.

I think its helpful to keep the boards moving - even if its NWR having a question just kinda keeps lines of communication open.

Though we are close to 2011 there is still a LONGGGG ways away before we no longer need to pick a BOTW. I actually think the 2010 girls had people do it more then once.

Either way - its just a fun thing to have - its nothing serious, its just something to keep the boards moving.
