What do you think about a red rose bouquet with berries for the bride? I really like this look, but someone commented that it may take away from the bride, in that it is so noticable from afar that the bouquet is the only thing that people will notice. Do you agree? What flower colors did you guys use?

i plan on a combo of pink (light pink) and blush colored peonies.....but only b/c i want the fushia colored peonies for the BMs.....i've seen plenty of brides with red rose BoKs and i think its beautiful!

I had pink peonies and white rununculus, you can definitely do the red-I have seen so many brides do burgundy callas, you can do red definitely

At first I thought I would go with the same type of fall colors that I am using for my BM's but then I reconsidered and am going with a full bo-k of creams, whites, ivories and MAYBE a little champagne color. My dress is pretty detailed and I thought that it might be a little too much to have a vibrant bo-k against it. Ultimately, I decided to go with the more romantic look but I think its mostly a personal preference.

i doing black magic roses with dark callas - while its true that your eye is drawn to the darkness you arent going to be holding the bok that long so i wouldnt worry about it - i think reds are beautiful
I had a cream and lavender roses and cream stephanotis with pearls and crystals in it as well. The BM/MoH had cream, pink and lavender roses.

I'm doing all Black Magic Roses. That's just my preference though. Go with what YOU like.

I'm going with a classic predominantly white bo-k...but go with any bo-k you like, I don't think a bo-k will take anything away from you!

My Bouquet was dark red roses (black magic)with peach colored berries and it looked beautiful. I say go with what you really want!(everyone will have opinions) Good luck!
I think red bo-ks look gorgeous! I used hot pink roses and pink orchids in mine.

My bouquet is going to have white roses, white callas and soft pink roses with berries. they say you should have a little color in an all white bouquet because you don't want it to get lost in your dress.
I was considering doing all red but I saw a pic of the bouquet I have now so I chose that one. But if you want to do all red I don't see anything wrong with that.

Erm, it's your wedding day, you're the bride, and everyone is there to see you and your FH.
Trust me, all eyes are going to be on *you* - a pretty BOK will in no way take away from that.

I didn't want an all white bouquet, either. I just felt that it would melt into my dress and you wouldn't see it. I think that you should go with what you want and make sure you can either get a sample from your florist or give them a photo of something that if very close to if not exactly what you want.
Here are two shots of mine (pink and mauve roses, with mauve cymbidium orchids,).
eta, also there were hypericum berries in mine (you can see them in the close up shot) which may work well for what you are looking for.
