The way I think of it is, your wedding day should stand out, so its one of those days where wearing a bow tie will make him stand out. Think about it when else is he going to wear one? Even though I like the long ties i think this is def an occasion for bow tie.

I really have not thought on this one yet. I think ties but it probably depends on the suit/tux we pick.
