Regular ties for us -- all but FH's 3 1/2 year old nephew who is wearing a bow tie with his toddler tux.
Either is fine. Do whatever you guys like. When you go with FH to pick out the tuxes, he can decide which he likes the look of best.
Where did you get your toddler tux? We were going to go to Men's Warehouse for everyone. Do they have them there??
Yes! Men's Warehouse has them! I think they are $50.00 to rent. I have one 3 year old and one 5 year old.

We did ties. DH purposely found tuxes that looked more like suits since we don't like that tuxedo look.

I think it depends on what the bride is wearing. I was just at a wedding where the bride was wearing a very formal ball gown and the groom was wearing a tux with a plain tie and it just looked like he was wearing a regular suit like he was a guest and not the groom. If the bride's dress is not formal then its probably fine though because the groom shouldn't look more formal than the bride.

I liked the bow ties but was totally shot down by FH and the GM so they are doing ties....in PINK (so i still had my way a little)
