Boy names..........

When FH and I were going to bed last night we were discussing names we'd like for our children. (random, i know) We agreed on a girl name but couldnt agree on a boy name.

What names were you guys considering for your future children? (i know im not the only crazy one who thinks about these things.)

FH and I talk about this all the time .. but we always end up saying names that WE WOULD NEVER give our child.. like Bertha, Gertrude hehe

Anyway, We find this so hard to even talk about because.. I'm a teacher and he is a school psychologist. We associate the names with the kids... its really terrible.. but i know we will be able to choose one... someday hehe

I do like the name Thomas

I like classic names like Matthew, David, Nicholas.....but FH has close friends with these names so hes not into them.

I think about these things all the time. I like Thanasi (Thomas), both of our grandfathers are named that, so it nice to keep it going through generations

my son would be: Niles ( the i is short, not long)

my daughter would be: TORHILD (norweign)

The only thing with having the first name aidan is that my future last name is VERY irish sounding it is an O' name. Meanwhile, we are raising our children jewish so little Aidan O'Donnell* will be very confused going off to hebrew school
* names have been changed to protect the innocent

We actually talk about it all the time too....youre not crazy

I want another little Alfonse.

But I also like Oliver Steven and Elliott Steven (Steven after my dad)...

FH wants the name Mark for his first son because that WAS his fathers name but I dont love that name, plus thats my brothers name. I dunno, is that mean of me to completely shoot that idea down?? lol

No, its not mean to shoot it down, but maybe you could make it his middle name as a compromise. That way you both will have a name that you like in there!

I understand your point, i wouldnt want that either!!

my dad and his sister (my aunt) both named their sons Philip after their dad (my grandfather)

I love Nicholas but FH cousins name is Nick so he sadi NO WAY!
I also like Mattew, and Jaden


We have already decided on Haylei

FH wants a jr. and i HATE the idea of that!!! im not going for it...lol..

i love Dominic James- D.J. for short.. after both of our fathers.... he wont have that

so looks like its all girls for us!

My FH says he wants a junior so Dominick it will be! Good thing I like that name

i like the names Jacob and Benjamin, ironically the same name as carolinep24's new nephew!
