IMO: I do not like see Bms when they are dressed up showing tatoos on their arms- I think it takes away from 'the look'.
What do u think?

Yes, you are definitely right. I'm not that crazy with them being visible either. I'm glad my BM just has 1 by her ankle, so its not that visible.

To each it's own and I know that tattoos mean a lot to people who have them, but in my wedding pictures, I would rather not visibly see them.
If they are on the ankle or something like that ok, but arms, I would ask to cover it up as much as possible.

Being a bride with tattoos on both of my arms, I'm not sure yet if I'm going to cover them, or just leave em alone. People know I have them, but then again, I don't want to spoil a beautiful picture with my ink. So therfore, I'm still torn. But everyone loves me regardless of my tattoos or not. So either way I win Back to your question, sorry Cee. I don't mind that my BP shows their tattoos or not, but no one in my BP has tattoos, so it really doesn't matter.

i have a tattoo but it is not visible in a dress - and i LOVE tattoos on guys and girls. . . except for in weddings. . . i would ask if they could cover up notceable tattoos ( like on the arms, upper back, neck or chest) but if they got offended i wouldnt push it. . . .

I understand how a bride might feel that a visible arm tattoo might 'take away from the look' but I think that using the words 'tacky' and 'gross' is a bit extreme. I have a rather large tattoo in my right arm and for both weddings I was in I asked the bride if she wanted me to cover it up. Both said they had no problem with it , which made me feel good AND made me want to look good for them even more. I didnt cover it up but DID make sure ALL pro photos were shot so that it could not be seen. Their pics came out GREAT and not a tattoo in site. I guess my point is that there are delicate ways of handling the situation where both the bride and the BM can look and feel beautiful~ tattoo or no tattoo.

does a tattoo really matter?? you picked these women to share in your special day, would you end a friendship due to a tattoo?? I just think if someone has that big of an issue with it then dont ask them to be in your BP if they have a tattoo, that's the same as asking them to cover it up........its a part of them just like any other part..........JMO...........I wouldnt care if my Best friend had two sleeves of tats..........:)

I wouldn't ask them to cover it up. I have a tattoo on my shoulder and I'll probably cover it for the wedding as my own choice. If someone wanted me to cover it for their wedding I wouldn't complain either but I wouldn't ask because I think it's nitpicky.

One of my BM's (once I ask her) has one by her chest and will most likely show with whichever dress I choose. I've kind of hinted that she's going to have to use cover-up that day for her tattoo.

Yup to me it DOES matter.... would I end a friendship b/c of it no......
I think if you have tattoos you don't mind and if you don't then you do mind. I'm loosing my mind! But I dig tattoos. I'm all about the person on the inside.

I completely agree. I guess I'm lucky though too - none of my bridal party has any tattoos so I don't even have to think about that!

My best friend has gorgeous tattoos on her arms. I would never ask her to cover them. They fit her personality and they are an important part of her.
I would be totally uncomfortable asking anyone to cover their tattoos for my wedding day.

Last month when I went a wedding a lot of the BMs had tattoos and when they were seated at the church you could see them all- they were on their backs. I just felt as though it took away from the look of the dress, but I dont think I could ask my BMs to cover it up for me- maybe I would suggest it.
