BPic quetion

Whos doing them and why??
If your not, why not??

I actually think the concept is cool and im not modest at all. But ive never heard of this concept until on LIW! When mentioning this is what seems to be normal for people to do, FH was like... 'why?? Thats weird. maybe its only for people who are waiting till their wedding night to seal the deal'
I think its hot and awesome, but I kinda see his point... i mean, hes seen me naked lol... so why would I do these pics?
Im not trying to offend people who did them, because TRUST ME i would love to take some hot pics of myself in lingere before I have kids and everything!! lol... but I just want to know WHY. Thank ladies!

I'm doing them partially for FH and partially for me. I have major self-esteem issues, and I feel this might help boost my confidence. But even though FH has seen me, I think he'll get a kick out of them, ESPECIALLY because he knows my self-esteem issues. I think it would be a great present for him, to know that I FINALLY got up the courage to do something like this.....for him.

ETA: FH has NO idea that I'm doing them.......they're a complete surprise

I hear ya - i had no idea about them before LIW. I think its a really great idea if you have the extra cash to do it. I'm pretty outgoing but in that regard I don't think I would be able to pull it off.

I haven't mentioned to to FH yet though - so maybe I will feel the water with him before making a decision.

But i am kind of curious - for those who have done them, what was your push into doing them?

I just decided to do them yesterday. I did know about them before LIW but I never knew how nice the photos can really look after seeing some of the girls pics on LIW.

I'm doing them because I know FH would appreciate it and I'm a very self conscious person and I'm hoping they will help me feel more comfortable with my body. The pics are just as much for me as they are for FH.

I planned to do them for our 1 year anniversary but you never know what will happen and I wanted to get the photos done before kids come along; so I decided to do them now.

I am planning on doing them but only if by the time I do them I have a rock hard body .

I would like to give it to FH has part of his wedding present along with his surprise groom's cake. My friend Melissa (who also shot my engagement photos) has done a few of these sessions that I have seen and I love the way her pics came out. Plus I would be less embarrased about doing this sort of thing with a friend rather than a complete stranger taking these photos of me. FH has no idea I am planning on doing this.

I also agree with Lsorrent that I am doing these partially for myself as well. I really am using this as a motivation to really get myself back into shape (I've been slack over the the past few years). I want to be able to look at these pictures and think 'Wow, that's me?'

I've never heard of these until LIW either. I would love to do them, but I can't justify spending the money right now. (All the more tempting when it's Kamila Harris who I've been a HUGE fan of for YEARS now!) Also, I asked FH what he would think and he said 'What could we use them for? We can't hang them up in the house.' LOL! No, we can't. I think if I did them, they'd be more for myself than for FH so I can look back when I'm a wrinkly old lady and say, 'Damn, I was HOT!'

My FH loves B-pics. I think he just likes the idea of having these pictures that he knows he cannot share with anyone else.

I am still torn on actually doing them. I am nervous and need to lose some weight! I'm a size 10 and i dunno if I want anyone else to see me like that!

It's a keepsake. I mean he'll appreciate it not and SURE he's probably seen you naked ... but think how cool it will be 25/50 years from now to open it up and be like 'Man, my bride was BANGIN'!'

On a 2010 post earlier today, I talked about how we will never get this time of being engaged back again, and it's been one of the most exciting times of my life.

BPics are going to eternalize the time in my life before I was a wife, the time that FH can always remember me as his 'girlfriend' and 'fiance'

For some of us, right before the wedding is when we will be in the BEST shape of our lives, and I'll be damned to think I wouldn't LOVE looking at this years in the future.

For FH though also, he is not a guy that is into looking at playboy, or maxim, so I know for him, it won't just be another 'magazine'. It will mean so much to him, he adores me, as does your FH I'm sure.

Doing Bpics kind of reminds me of when Rose in Titanic sees for the first time the drawing that Jack did of her when she's like 103 years old!! LOL

They say beauty is wasted on the young...and I don't want to waste mine. I want to embrace it, flaunt it to the appropriate people, and have it to look back on forever!

I'm doing them for me. I think I am a hot sexy lady and I will hang them up in my house. FH already think I am sexy and it's a bonus for him. We are in things like that and no one who knows me will think any different. I am in my 40s and if I make it to 80 or 90 I can look at myself and say wow you had it going on. JMO.

I am also doing b-pics and never heard of this until LIW. So I guess I have LIW to thank for that.

Reasons for doing it

(1) It will be a complete surprise to FH (he doesnt know and well, if he doesnt like it, too bad!), and it will motivate FH to look at these pics anytime he feels lonely or I'm not around..:) ;

(2) partially because I want to do it for myself because I will only be this young once and 10 years from now, I have these pictures that memorialize me looking absolutely HOT.

(3) it will motivate me to get my butt into gear, lose more weight and try to stay in shape

I did not do them before the wedding...it just didn't pan out. I ran out of time, and money! Plus, FH is UBER paranoid, and I thought he might get upset that I took the pictures. He literally just joined Facebook like 3 months ago (with all fake info of course) because he doesn't like his name and picture to be online. So I was justified in not doing it, at that time, because he's very uncomfortable with private things being made public, intentionally or accidentally.

Plus, he's an amateur photographer, and he's been begging me to let him shoot me himself!

I think I might do it for a 1 year anniversary gift, which is paper anyways. I just need to psych myself up for it.

why, thank you, my dear!

I had never heard of them before LIW either but as soon as I did there was no question that I had to do them. I am a relitvley modest person and I think FH would love and appreciate the fact that I went out of my comfort zone for him. He has always asked me to take some sexy pics for him and I always say no. I plan on taking some with his favorite football teams jersey, JETS, and giving him both as a wedding gift.

I am not by any means a small girl and although I do want to get in shape for health reasons I dont plan on going crazy trying to loose weight before the shoot. There are certain ways you can stand, sit or lay that will make you look great no matter your size.

I did them, and this is exactly how I feel, and felt at the time. Perfectly explains my reasoning!

My DH is now getting a pin up tattoo of one of my b-pics now! He loved them! He loves his album and is so happy I did them with Mariann our wedding photog (Blue Daisy) because he would be not so happy if it was a guy most likely lol.
