Bravura or After Hours

Bravura all the way! I booked them just on a review from a friend, she used them for her wedding. Then I went to a showcase and loved them even more. I am completely confident they will do a great job! I can FM you their price list when I get home later.

No comparison there, 2 totally different companies! I used Bravura as well as family members & friends, etc, and I am still going to their weddings. They are in a class of their own. They are on the expensive side and do not negotiate rates. I know friends of mine got free up-lighting from being at their showcase. They range from 2100 to 10,000. Subject to the live music extras, etc. Good Luck

Totally agree, if they were avalible for our date, we would have booked. quoted 5000 soup to nuts (live singer, lights, mc, dj, steal drums,ect) HTH

Bravura. Not that I've really heard them.... BUT
Just went to a wedding where out of the 7 DJ's that came with After Hours (yes, 7 of them) they all decided to leave at the same time to eat dinner, so we had a 15 minute span during dinner with NO music. Super rude (having all the people WITHOUT letting the bride & groom know they would all be there & NOT providing dinner music the whole time). I wouldn't have tipped!!!!

I am using Bravura and they are amazing, no questions is brushed aside. They DID negotiate, and depending on when your event is day of the week etc they are able to work with you. They were able to work with me. Bravura has a lot of live elements you can add. For me I wanted the comfort of a DJ but wanted a band as well. I added a singer, percussion, uplighting, and the lighting system over the dance floor. They have been amazing!! They also mix all the music at your event it is not premade cds or files. I would see them both in action and see what you like better. Just keep in mind that even if you pay more w bravura you are getting an amazing product!

Bravura did our wedding and the energy was up the whole time! The dance floor was so packed!!! I also went to three other weddings they did and had a great time at each one!

I feel like After Hours is getting a bad rap on this string. I have found Phil to be very easy to work with, reliable, and responsive. I won't discredit what any other brides have said, but I am confident that his team will make our day so very special!

I went to see Bravura and I would have seriously considered them if I wasn't already set on my DJ. The only thing I didn't like was that you HAVE to have a separate MC; the DJ will not do announcements. I felt like that was overkill for what I wanted. I understand the reasons why they do it and it helps everything run smoothly but I personally didn't love that.
However, they had the best skill out of everyone else I saw (besides the one I selected). Also I felt like their price for lighting was reasonable, but then again I didn't do much shopping around with that.
