Hey ladies.. Have any of you gone for a brazilian bikini wax?
Whats the prep? and how bad does it hurt? And are you happy with the results?
Anyone go to the Red Door Salon to get it done?

Re: Brazilian??
My hair 'down there' is pretty sparse to begin with so I never felt the need for a Brazilian. I never have needed a bikini wax either! Besides, FH doesn't mind it so to me it's not even worth the pain!

It hurts like hell....but oh so worth it.... I went to Shobha and had sugaring, and have also had waxing, sugaring hurts less and last longer.
Prep? uhm let it grow enough...they will take care of the rest
I love Shobha's! I was sold on the no double dipping policy!
check it out!

I go once a month and I just switched to a wonderful woman in Plainedge. Ever since I did it, I have to keep going. It's addicting! lol Yes it does hurt, not so bad for me anymore though. You do get used to it. If you take advil before it's not so bad.

Too bad you're not in Nassau or I'd recommend my lady. She's awesome and so cheap!

Re: Brazilian??
It is very painful as you may know from the responses. Take pain killers an hour before.

Re: Brazilian??
I've never done it but sort of considering doing it before the wedding and honeymoon. My sis does it - she said to take an advil an hour before and have a drink... I'd like to think that I can handle it after 3 tattoos but tihs is a whole different ballgame!!!

Re: Brazilian??
I go to the Completely Bare Salon in NYC - have been more than pleased with the results and so is my FH. Very hygienic, no double dipping, very female oriented.
Yes it hurts...badly..but it is totally worth it.
Also recommend using Barcs to prevent ingrown hairs especially for those with very coarse hair.

Re: Brazilian??
I've gotten it done a few times. It does hurt, but once it's all done and over with, you totally forget the pain, kind of like a tattoo. I don't think the brazilian is so painful that you really need to take advil or drink, but then again, I guess everyone has different tolerances for pain.
