Bridal Alterations Timeline

I just made my appointment for my first dress fitting (ahhh!!) My wedding is May 29th.

The only thing that worries me is when I called I was expecting to make an appointment maybe in the next week or so, but the woman on the phone made it for April 29th. I asked her if she was sure that was okay, it was only literally 30 days from the wedding. She even read my wedding date back to me and said nope, thats good.

Is this unusual? Or is 4 weeks enough time for alterations? Am I panicked for no reason? Help?!

My tailor won't even look at my dress until 8 weeks before, I think they don't want your body to change too much! I think it's closer than I'd be fully comfortable with, but you have to trust them!

Thank you!! I absolutely love the experience I've had with this vendor so far so I'm sure it's probably going to work out absolutely perfect, I just got so nervous! I thought it was cutting it a little tight myself. I guess I'll just have to wait and see!

I didn't want to call them and question it, they've been so great so far!

I'm having my first dress fitting on April 11, and my wedding is May 25...so I have a few days on you, but I was also getting a bit nervous too.

But the salon ensures me it's enough time. I'm going to trust that they know what they're doing. I've had a wonderful experience with them so far, and want to stay with them for the alterations.

My first fitting appt is April 8th and wedding is May 23. I thought they would need more time, but they said it was sufficient.

My first fitting was back in Feb. and my second was last week. My wedding is April 25th. I just went by their suggestions and it turned out fine.

Bridal Alterations Timeline

My wedding is June 27 and my first fitting is May 14. My place said they only start about a month or so beforehand. I think your timeline will be fine, they know what they are doing.
