Hi Girls, I'm trying to decide where to have my girls order their dresses from. The prices that Phylis from B.E. quoted me are $15-$30 cheaper than at Helen's (each of my BM's are wearing a different Alfred Angelo dress) however the women at Helens spent so much time with my girls recently. Helen's can't go any lower with their prices than what they told me. I have not told my Bridal Party the quotes I got from B.E. The stores are pretty much equal the distance. Should I go with what's cheaper or the service (although I've heard great reviews about the service at B.E. as well)? I can't decide!

I had the same experience.. I got a cheaper price from somwhere else for the same dress at Helens. I know that the seamstress is wonderful at Helens but we did go with the cheaper prices because the alteration prices were through the roof too!!!

My girls bought their dresses from Helen's and one had a not so good experience with the alterations there.
I took my bridal grown from David's Bridal to Phyllis at Bridal Elegance.
B/c your girls are spending so much now, and will be later on for other things, let them save a little money now and go with Phyllis! You won't regret it!

My girls got their dresses at Helen's and we didn't have any problems with alterations!!! You're right, they've got great customer service so I'd recommend them.
I've never met Phyllis but from what I've heard on the boards I think either choice is good!!

Phyllis' service is amazing!!! I went in there last week b/c she was going to make me a shrug for my dress she also came up with 5 other ideas we could do if i didnt like the shrug. I swear by her, she is a Godsend

IMHO, I would go with Helen's. Phyliss has had some issues lately. In fact, there was an '06 bride that never got her BM dresses, and had to get dresses 7 days before her July wedding.
The staff at Helen's is phenomenal, and the seamstress is GREAT!!

I would not go with Phyllis. My experience with her was not good at all. There were so many things that happened with my BM dresses and the quality of alterations. My review, which is in my profile, only addresses some of the issues. I am still finding out some things that my BMs did not want to worry me with at the time. I tried to save my girls money, but I caused them a ton of aggravation, as they tried to resolve the issues without bothering me.
I don't like to mention this too often because the brides who like her may get offended. Also, I don't want people who have orders in to start worrying. Maybe their experience will be better than mine.

phyllis altered my 7.5 months pregnant MOH 2 days before my wedding and only charged her $45! she was a godsend for my dress and my girls dresses. i highly recommend her
