Bridal party help needed!! - very long

My sister is going to be my maid of honor. I have three girl cousins who will be my bridesmaids. I have two nieces who will be 6 & 3, hoping that the 6 year old will continue to grow like a string bean so she can be a junior bridesmaid or is she too young? The 3 year old will be the flower girl. My nephew will be 9 & he will be the ring bearer or is he too old? We are not asking my brother & sister-in-law because my mom says it’s unnecessary for married people with kids to be in bridal parties. Which is fine with me & FH says it’s fine if he has to ask my brother (they get along very well). FH will pick a best man out of his friends obviously but he has 4 other friends that he wants to pick as groomsmen, which means we will be uneven & I don’t want to be.
I have a friend from high school who thinks she is in my bridal party but ever since I got engaged she has been driving me crazy & I don’t want to include her. I have a friend whose bridal party I was in a few weeks ago, who I would ask but, she is a little crazy & very unpredictable, plus my friend from high school is going to throw the only hissy fit & has already said if any other friend is asked to be in the bridal party over her she is not going to come to the wedding (although I want her to be there she is driving me crazy & am starting to not care if she comes). My mom suggested that I just suck it up & ask my sister-in-law, but I will have to pick out a different dress for her because she will be 36 by the wedding & I really don’t want to include her in everything & I think it will be stressful enough for her to deal with her 3 kids that day.
Can someone please give some advice???

i would say:
the 6 year old (will be 8 then) and the 9year old (11 then) should be junior bridesmaid and junior groomsman. have them walk down together.. it will be adorable.

and for the friends:
i would keep it just family to avoid issues. bridesmaids are suppposed to be the most important people in your life that you can count on to calm you down and keep your spirits high on your wedding day, sounds like the crazy friends dont fit the bill on that one.
i would also include your SIL. shes family, the rest of her family will be in the bridal party. i think if you didnt have her in it she would feel left out. even though 'its your day' you dont want to hurt anyones feelings either.

and for the dresses, have you considered just picking a designer, color and fabric and let each girl pick a dress that flatters their body? this is becoming more popular now!

HTH! - dont stress out!! it will all come together!

I agree with Dnt2010, but have one question...

Why does the 36 year old need a different dress?

my mom feels that since all the other girls in the bridal party r petite she will look better in a different dress then i would pick for them

heres pics of us in our different dresses, maybe this will help you. we were all completely different sizes and body shapes.

I would have to agree with going with family members for the bridal party, it makes things easier and this way friends won't be mad that one was picked over another.

We chose only family members for the bp for this fact and that is why our bp is uneven, 4 girls 3 guys

Maybe you should give her the option of if she wants to wear the dress. Her feelings could easily be hurt if she were made to stand out because she is not 'petite'.
