Bridal Reflections?
Ok, I found the gown I am in love with at Bridal Reflections in Carle Place/Westbury. Just wondering what some of your experiences may have been with them? (I have an appointment on Saturday)I checked them on BBB and they have less than half of the complaints that Bridal Couture has.
I was also wondering what their payment policy is?

Re: Bridal Reflections?
I did not buy my gown at BR, but my bridal party got their dresses here. They came in earlier than they said, so that was good. They ordered the wrong size for of my bridesmaids, so they did not charge her for alterations. So, customer service was good. I think you need to leave a 50% deposit. One thing, make sure you make appointments for fittings in advance, I don't know how it works for bridal gowns, but for bridesmaids they did not do alterations on weekends, just 3 days a week. A lot of times they were booked with fittings a couple of weeks in advance for the evening appointments.

Re: Bridal Reflections?
Does the 50% deposit have to be cash or do you know if they take plastic?I really don't like this 'cash & check only' policy.

Re: Bridal Reflections?
They take plastic for the deposit and any other payments EXCEPT the final one for whatever reason. So if you want to put it all on your credit card, you have to pay before you go pick it up.I ordered my dress from BR. There were some problems with them because they were not authorized dealers of my gown but they are all cleared up now. Clearing that up was a definite pain but they have been pretty easy to deal with otherwise. Always pleasant on the phone, etc.. I think they charge a ridiculous amount for simple alterations so know that your 'cap' is going to be what you pay no matter how few alterations you need.
I went for my first fitting a few weeks ago and the seamstress SEEMED to know what she was doing but I will know better after I see the results at my next fitting in September.

Re: Bridal Reflections?
so far so good with BR...the 50% is just 'suggested' remeber that, but it is true that its cash on the last pick-up, so you may want to put more down when you first buy it and at your first fitting. They have been very nice to me so far. I went to my first fitting last week.

Re: Bridal Reflections?
My girls got their dresses their also. They've been very helpful to us. My flower girl found her dress at Bridal Suite in Centereach and because she's in Suffolk doesn't have to pay tax on her dress!!!!

Re: Bridal Reflections?
I still don't know who the designer is (I'll find out on Saturday), but it was a dress I tried on at Bridal Couture and fell in love with. I was trying to avoid purchasing the gown at BC because of their 'history' and I don't like the fact that they're a cash only operation.

Re: Bridal Reflections?
I used them for my gown, and I liked them....i found long hold times and some confusion sometimes when i called for my appts, but overall they were good. Christina was very helpful ...i think she is their buyer, she spent some time with me when i was stuck between 2 dresses, i think i always knew which one i wanted, but she didn't and showed me for various reasons why she thought my dress was the one, and she was so right! i would have no problem recommending them, they are professional.

Re: Bridal Reflections?
Marcella,I feel so relieved!!!!
My sister and I were going to hit Moonlight Couture afterwards, but lucked out! bridetobe,
one of the girls showed me a few dresses, which were all gorgeous, and she informed me that all of them could be made with a coordinating scarf and I could get them in any color too!?!
I'm really curious to see who the designer is! They had a few gowns that interested me, so I figured I would just wait until I try them on. My sister said she saw a red & white label on the inside, but I don't know who uses those colors.

Re: Bridal Reflections?
Jenny:Christine is awesome! She helped me too... She's VP of the place and knows the stock like the back of her hand. Christine ended up putting together two different gowns for me -- and it was perfect.
So far customer service has been great.
Re: Fittings -- They have one Saturday a month that brides can get fitted -- the rest are weekday appointments. The latest weekday is 7:45pm.

Re: Bridal Reflections?
I got my dress from Bridal Reflections in Carle Place as well. Overall, I was happy about everything. They did tell me 4-6 months before my dress came in, and it actually took about 8 months (I ordered it a year out, so now problems there). My seamstress was Lee. I thought she did an okay job - if you can find my vendor reviews from back in May, I stated that I didn't think she did the boob area of my strapless gown tight enough, and I spent my reception hiking it up because the cups of my bra were showing. My alteration fee wasn't that bad. They only had to do the bustle and take it in at the boobs and waist.
As far as payment, I put 50% down on a credit card, then when the dress came in, I put the remaining 50% on a credit card as well. The only time they want cash is if you want to take it home with you and haven't paid in full, you must pay cash before taking it home. You are allowed to pay the balance incrementally as you go along for fittings.
