Bridal Reflections or Adrienne's??

Bridal Reflections or Adrienne's??

I pretty sure I found THE dress I first saw it at Adrienne's in Islip & I went yesterday to Bridal Reflections in Massapequa to try it on for my friends opinion. Do any of you prefer one or the other? I forgot to ask Adrienne's about alteration cost (truth be told money does play a big part) but I just want your opinions so I can sort of get an idea. Thanks!

FYI - alterations at Bridal Reflections are $95 for the bustle and $245 is the maximum for alterations.

I don't know about Adriennes.

Please look up prior posts about Adrienne's, there BM's cottage is horrible and there alterations ladies are also horrible and I can show you examples.

I am in a wedding this saturday and the bride got her dress there and didn't have problems but all of us did.

She also only got a bustle and nothing else.

They have some very finky seamstresses who do awesome custom work but when they do alterations they do what they want to do and I don't feel that is right.

Bridal Reflections is expensive but they do good work. I would talk to the ladies at Bridal Reflections and ask for alteration prices from them and if they happen to be closer to your home then Addriene's I think I would definetly go to Bridal Reflections..

Make sure to search old posts though, they are plenty on Adriene's!

congrats! on finding the dress that is awesome!! yeah!!!

Hope you find it for a great price!!

Please do a search, I wrote a very long message about adrenne's, I would stay far away from them!

Check if your dress is available at angel Bridals in Islip. They are the best! Found there shop by accident and loved them from the start. My dress came in in 2 1/2 weeks . You will not be sorry!
They are like having fairygodmothers look after you. Go see for yourself, I know you would agree!
Good luck!

PS. Angel Bridal has a cap of $150 for alterations

I went to Angel Bridal & I did love them there. But they didn't seem to have my dress/designer.

My friend got her dress from Adrienne's and not only did her SLIP BREAK when she was being introduced into her reception, her train attachments were ripping off the back of her dress!!!

I'd say stay away from Adrienne's. I got my dress from Bridal Reflections, and although we have not gotten to the fitting/alteration stage, they have been sooo helpful!!! And I hear nothing but raving comments about their seamstresses.

Good luck!

Don't know if you've looked on the North Shore, but the Priscilla of Boston store in Roslyn Hgts has amazing gowns, and is such a classy store. The girls are all dolls.

I went to Adrienne's and found the perfect dress - they told me that they would be able to order it for me with no problem. I later went to another store to show my friend - and found out that the dress had been discontinued MONTHS earlier. I would stay FAR away from them. I ended up getting the same dress from the Wedding Center in Commack - they had the sample in my size and the color that I wanted (at half off!). They were great! Also, their prices are very good - and the seamstress does WONDERFUL work.

You can order your dress from anywhere - it doesn't need to be either of those places. I found my dress at Bridal Reflections but ordered it from Paradise Bridals for significantly less (even though they didn't carry my dress there).

They cap alterations at $150 (not including bustle). And everything worked out great. My dress was in early. Rosalie did my alterations and she was wonderful. I worked with Donna on ordering my dress. Good luck!
