Bridal Registry Scam?

Hey ladies,
Since I'm new to the engaged life I was attending a bridal expo and filled out my information upon entering. I just got a call from Bridal Registry claiming I won the prizes below. I'm curious if this is actually true, if anyone has attended one or if it all a scam

I received that phone call a few times. I never went though bc I figured it's a scam. I think you have to buy something to get that.

Definitely a scam. I almost fell for it. The last time they called, I asked them to take me off their list and they havent called again.

I got so excited when they called me! Then I asked the ladies on here & found out it was a scam. Major disappointment lol but it's too good to be true

I actually went, we got a voucher for a weekend trip. They sell you cookware... We didn't buy any because we just wanted a trip lol but they do give you want you win after the meeting. Takes an hour.

Same here! Except it was from a photography company in Queens. They claimed I was chosen from a group of 50 brides and won a trip anywhere i wanted to go, hotel and flight free! At first I was super happy and of course believed it. Until I got home and did some bride-research and came across their name and 'scam' printed right next to them! I immediately called back and cancelled my appointment with them. Thank god I double-checked.

One of my bridesmaids mothers works for a company that does something similar (I think you have to attend an hour class for time shares or cookware or something like that) and it is legit! My friend is so upset that its her mom bc she cant get the free trip if shes related to someone who works there! haha
