Bridal Show Prizes...Did anyone else get a call...?
I just got a call from 21st Century Concepts saying I 'won' a few prizes from the Expo at the Marriot. Did anyone else get this call? They said I won
1) A 2 night hotel stay at one of 15 locations
2) A $500 Gift Certificate at some online gift store
3) 40% off any of their products (2st Century COncepts).
I have to go to their presentation where they'll be demonstrating products...I figure I'll just go. it's worth it if the prizes are really legit.
What do you think? Has anyone else ever done something like this?
My parents got their luggage at a time share meeting when they first got married..so maybe just sit there, suck it up, and take home the prizes?

I used to get them calls all the time. I think they are just trying to get business. That is very i watch what i put my name in.

It's not a SCAM
Its a promotion for marketing.
You go and sit in on a meeting and walk out wtih the prize. You don't have to BUY anything. Heck they didnt even try hard when I went and even tho we got started late (i know Jim & I were late arriving) they ended on time. Nice people too.
It's china, pots and pans and crystal.

Xelindrya- Did you go to this exact one? Can you give me more detail? Yu just walk out with a gift certificate and a certificate for a hotel stay? Did you use either? I think I'm definitely going to go. It's only 2 hours out of my life, and if I can get a hotel stay, that's awesome. We were thinking of going to Ft. Lauderdale to visit FHG's grandparents whom Ive never met.

yes we went. Jim fell in love with a particular pot. hehehe so we bought it.
Seriously though yes they give you the certificate as you leave (we both both one for the short stay one extended - cause we bought something)
I read the fine print. You have to put up $25 to hold your reservations, doesnt include airfare. It's all inclusive and it's legit. I called them up (the hotel) all seemed on the up and up. We didn't use it because we're saving money for the wedding and will honeymoon in Orlando.
You can extend the certificate as well, if you don't need it yet.
Only thing I saw is that its not Motel 6, it's not Best Western, but it's not The Garden City Hotel either. They try to play it up like it's a 5 start glamour resort. It seemed more like a moderate to low upper class place. Still decent. Then again, what do you expect. It's free.
PS: Yes the pots are great, yes we use them and yes, we don't use oil with them and yes they do cook stuff rather fast.

Thanks! I think we're definitely going to go. We were planning on taking a trip anyway and I was B****ing and moaning about the cost of the hotel b/c we won't be able to stay with his relatives, so now we'll have it paid for. If we can get a second trip for buying something, that would be cool, too.
